I was watching Akbar's outburst and burning of the taqt on Friday's episode again and this time his words or sentences set me thinking.

Akbar is angry with his crown because he feels that crown was responsible for taking away his khan baba, his badi ammi's love and affection and making them bay for his head.

Akbar then even says his bro-in-laws Sharifu and Abul Mali hate him and consider him as a competitior rather enemy because of this crown only.

He said something like sab humse dur hogaye is taqt ke waja se

He makes another profound statement saying he loved/treated adham khan like mirza hakim and bakshi banu 😲

And while adham is being pushed down the rampart 40 feet down jalal again makes another statement that "I would have forgiven you today for attacking me, but I cannot forgive you for killing my atagah"

Then jalal wonders to jodha "How can the badi ammi(not maham anga) can give baddua to his unborn twins when he tried his best to fulfil his dhgood ka karz?"

and jalal looks all ready to throw away his crown of thrones for the love of his badi ammi, sharifuddin and abul mali

In between the newly titled Akbar the great forgot his innocent hapless 10 crore citizens across the indian subcontinent from khandahar to Bengal, from Kashmir to khandala fort.

Akbar even forgot his mother hamida, his step mothers, his pregnant(stressing on this) sister bakshi banu, and his pregnant wife jodha and the twins in her womb

Akbar forgot the lakhs of loayl Mughal empire workers right from ministers like todarmal, man singh, tansen to soldiers and body gaurds who risk their life to keep him alive

Akbar forgot the khwaja sera's who did not allow a ruthless adham from entering his harem and harming his family, he forgot all the maids who worked for him and his family and risked their life for him and his family

Akbar even forgot all the oprhans in orphanage, destitutes who live in his empire's homes, his huge contingent of elephants, horses etc dependent on him

Akbar forgot the vulnerable Rahim who considers him as chotte abu

And Akbar the great is ready to renounce his taqt o taj for the worthless wicked, manipulative and insaniyat ke dushman maham anga, sharif, abul mali and mah chu chuk

What sort of emperor shall say that? Is love of some brother in laws, love of a step mother and milk mother ever ready to kill him are more important to him than life of all the above?

I remember when Akbar lost his child he had gone and told to his citizens "You all are my jahnasheen" he keeps saying "My family is my life for whose happiness I can die". Are these all bogus claims?

Is only love of traitors like maham, mah chu chuk, abul mali and sharifuddin matters to him?

Why does he not remember hamida fainted when he was unwell after tiger attack, jodha did not eat for days during that time, ruqaiah went insane with worry, his awam prayed in temples, mosques so that he gets well?

As an emperor he should never get that thought to leave his crown as because of him the empire lives. In a war field why is emperor most protected because if he dies the empire collapses, citizens will be slaughtered, his family will be in jail or sold or killed. The entire empire works or lives for the emperor.

He is the representative of God on earth and its his supreme duty to protect all of them. And here he wants to leave everything and run off to get love of some traitors and cruel people like abul mali, sharif, mah chu chuk and maham.

He is guilty for killing adham? So its ok if adham kills his family, ministers, citizens?

An emperor has no relationship, his relation is only truth and justice nothing else. How jalal forgot that after having a heart?

One can wonder why an Emperor like Akbar would want to give up his throne. He so many responsibilities that he has himself acknowledged, so many well wishers whose heart felt good wishes for him would negate all the vitriol of Mahamanga and even now the true affection of many relatives.

Yes, all that is true but for every human being there comes a time when the strain of the situation causes you to buckle in. For Jalal, the curse was the tipping point. One can imagine the horror of a person cursed by his mother, can there be anything more debilitating.

And that before he even had time to grieve over the death of his Atalik. The double blow caused Jalal to be in the dumps and once the despair sets in, all the good things in life that you have, don't seem to matter.

There have been recent news items of celebrities who have committed suicide. One is shocked because they had everything to live for and much less strain that Jalal is going through. The human mind and how it is affected by stress is not an easy thing to decipher.

But fortunately, for most, this down in the dumps phase is temporary. One soon gets over it to face the challenges of life. If one has a trusting and loving partner like Jodha in the serial, the recovery comes faster.

So why again he is getting so emotional about her curse?

Does he still think she is his mother?

He is just the ladder to climb and then kick off that ladder

When will he start considering hamida as his real mother not maham?

After he came to know maham dethroning I thought he no longer consider her his mom

True, he denounced her but she was still his mother. How can he forget all the beautiful memories of his childhood, how can forget all the things she did for him. The memories must be flooding his brain, after all, Maham was one of the few stable, positive experiences of his childhood.

Now, to realize, all that was fake, to understand that Maham never loved him can be overwhelming. As they say, one can choose your friends but not your family.

The real Akbar must have felt like this, after all why would he forgive a woman who makes 2 assassination attempts against him.

Time is the best healer. Over time he will get over Maham.

Very correctly explained Donjas . Very nice posts . I liked your thoughts about the human mind . Very often it is the strongest person who will be unable to deal with stress .

Jalal is in shock due to the rude and unforeseen outburst from the lady he addressed Badi Ammi . Even though he knows that Mahamanga was against his proximity to Jodha , her vicious outburst by cursing his unborn babies has made him realize the extent to which she hated him too. A part of him refuses to accept that hatred , because he truly respected and loved her . He is unable to accept her reality . Atgah's death had already broken him, Maham's treachery just worsened the despair . After all he is human too . Being a shehenshah does not mean that he should be super human and super perfect . When a mind is down and low , it will definitely not think rationally .

You are right in saying that he will heal and come out of this situation over time . He will emerge stronger just for his " praja ".
