Thankfully I have the option of skipping this episode after reading the updates.
So are we heading towards an epic LUST story?
I think that the CVs have delibrately introduced this track...this is being done to prepare the viewers for a leap. It is their attempt to wean us off the present Jalal who we have all grown to respect. After watching todays episode, ninety percent of the female viewers will hate this new j**k Jalal who eyes another woman while the wife he claims to love, is pregnant...most civil 21st century women( viewers) find it difficult to respect such men . They are making sure that the viewers don't create a riot post leap just because they miss the sweet loving caring husband Jalal. They are showing him as a hard core polygamist. And a husband who yells at his pregnant wife when all she is doing is being herself...a kindhearted and considerate woman...epic love story is out of the window...If they hv Salim- Anarkali story in mind, then the trp aunties will find it easier to accept the loyal Salim over his j**k father who couldn't stay loyal to any woman...even the one who risked her life to save his and was pregnant with his kids. He is shown to be upset with her when this forgiving and large hearted wife ( who forgave evil people like Ruk, Nigar Aapa, BB n SD) sympathizes with Khyber, the beast man who saved her life by going against his nature. Like it or not...this is our Jodha...she goes out of her way for
"insaaniyat"...aren't MA, Ruk and Nigar bigger culprits than Khyber who is nothing but a child trapped in a giants body. Is it surprizing that Jodha sympathizes with him? He was kind to her when he could have killed her ...and then saved her from MC's soilders. Most of us would have done the exact same thing. If no one was ready to go near him out of fear...Jo took it upon herself to help him. The 16 th century experts on female behavior who write the cliche " this is not how 16th century women behaved" need to understand that 16 th century women in a polygamous set up didn't go out of their way to get their husband to forgive a decietful and evil wife like Ruk either...So it is acceptable for a 16th century woman to save Ruk from punishment but not ok for her to try and save a child- giant who was kind to her.
But the Atifa track is not about Jo...this is about Jalal and his polygamous lifestyle. Viewers will find it easier to accept a committed and sensible Salim after this track...and no one will miss Jalal or his love story.. In the process, they will do a lot of damage to Jalal's image...but who cares? Let's focus on the trps. 😉
