What a lovely episode it was yesterday! I had been fearful of watching it but actually enjoyed it a lot.
The best part
Like you said, the best part was that we witnessed just how far JJ have come in one year of matrimony. From the mutual ghrina initially to the mutual "can't stay away from each other for a moment" stage, it's been a breathtaking roller coaster ride. 😊 Yes, Jalal lost his temper again, yes, he shouted at her again publicly, but thanks to the adorable Salima, regained his composure soon and placated Jodha in an extremely gentle and loving manner. It reminded me of an old song:
rooth kar pehle jee bhar sataoongi main
jab manayenge woh, maan jaoongi main
dil pe rehta hain aise mein kab ikhtiyar
koi aata hain...
And the last scene was the most exquisite way to start a long drawn WA special. Jalal is now much more sure that Jo will be receptive to his touch and he is no longer scared to hug her or caress her. Jo has started reciprocating with equal intensity. She is now perfectly sure that her place is now irrevocably only in Jalal's heart and embrace.😳

The worst part
One more vamp joins the bandwagon of negative people. Shehnaz's raaz is finally out. She is not the (irritating) ingenue I had thought her to be. She is evil incarnate and much more terrifying than Maham. Who exactly she is is yet to be revealed. But her aim is clear. She wants nothing less than the takht and she is going to use Jo for this purpose. She is also sure of killing JJ in cold blood after she gets what she wants.
In the last year, Jalal had trusted the wrong people and mistrusted the right people. Now that he is finally realizing his mistake and changing his close associates, it's time for Jo to fall into the same trap of mistrusting the wrong people. She has started down this path by trusting Shehnaz and Maham (in the precap). Jalal had managed to escape on earlier occasions using a little bit of native intelligence, snooping and Jodha's help. Jodha had stood by him thru most of his tribulations. Now it's time for Jalal to stand by Jo and help her thru this forthcoming trial by fire for the sake of both of them and the Mughal Sultanat.
The Blah
Another tantrum by BEK, Hindustan ki Mallika, Ruqaiyya Sultan Begum. She throws more tantrums than all the kids in my family put together. Now these do not even register in my mind.
Yes, Hoshiyar tried to say something like maybe the SS does not like roses any more but was cut short. Let's see how Ruq's plan unfolds today. She doesn't seem to have thought of the fake preg idea yet.
The Horror
The precap - Jo is again showing "sympathy without thought for the underdog", here, Maham. When will she learn? When will Jalal learn that he can say No to Jo without losing her forever? This is possibly the worst possible scenario. And Maham is the kind who will snatch the arm if offered a finger. She will definitely use a possible patch-up or even a meeting (that she can easily convert into a patch-up with her Jalal beta song) to further her own agenda by getting into the good books of Jalal once more.

What next?
Remains to be seen if Maham will turn in Ruq or they will join hands again? Or whether Maham and Shehnaz will join hands. Maham was angry with Shehnaz the other day when Shehnaz was searching in her room. So they seem to be on opposite sides as of now. Does Shehnaz know who Maham is and that she may have what she (Shehnaz) is searching for? Are both of them looking for the same thing? How does Shehnaz know so much about Jalal and his palace?
She is going to be around for a long time. So might as well get used to her. 🤢 There had been a spoiler that Jalal will have to get around Shehnaz to get to Jodha. Wonder what it means in reality?
