I think the makers of the show are in a confused state. The last 2 weeks has been full of superb episodes but they have not been promoted. Everyone knows that you can't fight against the IPL and win, yet the PH is firing it's best shots. So many riveting episodes have been aired in the past 2 weeks and yet it has not stemmed the slide in the ratings.

Why can't they simply hold on till this election fever and IPL season is over and then give some good episodes. Why waste the Teerth Kar or the Maham unmasking or Jodha returning episode in such a tough environment. Even if the real Akbar does a cameo in the serial he will still not be able get ratings this month.

And if they are willing to fight out, then why not promote it. Half hearted steps lead nowhere.

The CV'S are even more confused in the case of Ruqiaya. Ruqs has a a favorite rant for the past 6 months. "I hate Jodha Begum". I am sick and tired of hearing this. O.K you hate her but unlike Maham what you have done about it. Ruq will do nothing, other than a few rants and the occasional fainting till the next time Jalal and Jodha come together and then she will spout those memorable words. "I hate Jodha Begum."

I still cannot understand why good actors like those protraying Man Singh or Todar Mal or even the new Shenaz are not given more prominent parts. Instead 10 minutes are wasted each day on Ruqs "I hate Jodha Begum" and Maham's meanderings in a cave.

The first part was full of romance and passion. And more importantly Jodha's confession has redeemed her. Beautifully filmed scene that promised so much till Ruqiaya's ill timed entry.

Divi!

Watching today's episode, qualifies me for a Param Veer Chakra, or maybe Param Weirdo Chakra. Like half of the forum knows thanks to my ronas, I watch it in office, so obviously, the first scene watching for me looked something this, "left-right-back-screen, left-right-back-screen, repeat..."

BUT

I watched it!

The first scene was exquisite! I felt the hug was good. I loved the change in his expression when she held him during the hug. I also loved how she closed her eyes, when their face was just inches apart, as if a silent yes, but, thanks to Pepsi IPL (which I am not too excited about right now thanks to RCBs performance) this did not lead to a kiss. Ruqaiyya's tirade, as to how Jo could dare to get so close to Jalaal was comical at first, but, then I got the meaning. Maybe Jalaal had been with other women, true, in fact as he had reminded her, she was the one who arranged his nights (Ewww), but, the expression on his face was not something you would see on his face with any random female, it was soft, at once it looked he wanted to own Jo and be owned by her. Not an expert on men, but, as far as I know, a man is always soft on the woman he truly loves, and Ruq saw that in him today. Maybe I shouldn't be a devil and laugh at how her fake eyelashes got awry, thanks to the wind, but, whatever.

About her words, she said all the right ones. I knew it, after getting us hyper and mad for a month, they would make us love the leads with just one scene. Like cleaning a slate. Grrr!

About her fainiting spell, I am just happy she's not with a child. Phew! Actually I appreciate that, he didn't bail on her, when Jo said a dayalu vyakti, she meant someone who was kind to everyone, and his childhood friend, who had stood by him, and managed the uncomfortable aspects of siyaasat like harem would definitely have some rights to his kindness. I respect him more for this. Agreed he has a dil, and a lion's share of it is for Jodha, but that doesn't mean he put electric fence around to keep others out.

Shehnaaz scene was actually stupid. I guess, they showed it to show the anatagonism she might develop in future towards Maham.

Now about the cave scene. I am dead sure, it's not a baby, but, a doll. Maybe the captive "is" a mentally unsound person, who may have been a major political player, who lost his screws, and now takes to a doll, which he believes is his baby, and Maham is shamelessly blackmailing him for it. Still stumped about who it could be. But, I am not too bothered about, a few other things (ahem) have taken my fancy.

Rahim scene was cute! I loved the akdu dialogue. And I loved how Jodha, defended Jallu, but with love to Rahim.

Precap! Sigh! It was just beautiful. And going by the costumes, it probably won't be the last scene tomorrow. ☺️

Divya, I knew you'll do your Take 5 today even if you have decided to do it weekly.😃 Believe me I m as much happy as you are today for the surprise Jodha gave us. Yes she's come back & what a come back !👏 She did exactly what we all wanted her to do. I hope nobody have any problem with her now. Just loved ur post today & I agree with each word of urs.👍🏼 My AkDha are back.Their intense chemistry is back. And yup I agree its their first hug toh thodi awkwardness toh hogi na. I wish we could always see Jodha like this so that you can again convert ur weekly thread to daily one.😆

I was actually thinking why Jalal didn't tell the guard who announced Jodha to not let anyone in ... They gave so much screen space to that guard anyways 😆

I liked the episode, even when Jalal was caring for Ruq, the scene was nicely shown. (Even though she disturbed them, but they will consummate with lot of drama, so yeh toh hona hi tha😉😆)

But, I am actually back to keep my word: I had promised a few folks that I would create a take 5 dedicated to Jodha the day she apologizes for her mistake. I hope the people I promised this come back as they promised to comment to! 😆

So, it will be quick but here is my take 5:

(1) Ek maafi ki keemat tum kya jaano Jodha Begum: Loved it ! Loved it ! Loved it! The way Jodha first asked Jalal how many whips should she give ... I now think the CVs are using how Jodha reacts as suspense ... It used to be Jalal. Love how she said:
- She made the first mistake
- You said what you did based on what you saw ... But I hid the truth and did not let the truth come out to you
- I also failed to let my ego fall when I saw you begging for forgiveness

Do I dare say that the CVs have again been trolling some threads in the forum! 😉

I respect Jodha so much today! This is the Jodha I love and she is back! 👏

(2) I came back for you Shehenshah! : And on top of the apology, she beautifully made it clear that she came back for him ... The Man ... The Shehenshah with the heart ... Not Shivani and not the pilgrimage tax. 👏

And to the relief of us viewers ... She dropped the words like Kartavya out of her vocabulary. 😆

I think somewhere my theory that she had forgotten the "Shehenshah with the heart" and remembered her first "Heartless Shehenshah" image after his outburst was true! Hence, with Shivani and the tax, she realized the "Shehenshah with the heart" was not a mirage ... But real and the heart she loved truly existed!

I also think earlier the CVs used to use Jalal's feelings and reactions as a surprise ... Now they are using Jodha for the same. I used to call Jalal the wild card of the track ... But it is now Jodha.

(3) Jodha accepting Jalal's embrace: Loved the whole scene ... How it started with Jalal blowing Jodha's eyes ... Then the hand hold, to Jalal pulling Jodha towards him to hug her ... And Jodha finally shedding all her shyness and accepting his embrace fully! The "touch me not" days are officially over! 😳

I am not the expert at describing romantic scenes so over to everyone else! And please if you have any issues with it, remember it is their first hug!

(4) Jodha's smiles of happiness as Rahim tells her that Jalal used to pray and tend to the tulsi plant the same way as she used to ... She seemed thrilled and happy! 😃 And looked beautiful too with her open, wet hair, and minimal make-up look!

Lovely to see Rahim back as our cupid!

Seeing her with open, wet hair, I already knew we would at least get a repeat of the aarti scene and guess what, we got an upgrade... See next:

(5) Loved the precap scene: See the progress from the first Aarti scene to this one ... Jodha looked gorgeous as ever and Jalal at his charming best but note the progress ...
- Jodha's awkwardness replaced by shyness
- The progress from the hand to face touching! 😳

What's next for this jodi? Keep calm kanna, keep calm its Pepsi IPL time. Today was just the teaser, they still need to show a lot of trailers and promos, before the main picture!

A quick note on Ruqs ... You can be mad as you want about Ruqs but she is part of the story and if this is the way the CVs want to drag through IPL, so be it. If it is important for Jodha to get over her awkwardness with Ruqs, so be it.

But, please, please do not be mad at Jalal for the following reasons:
- He does not know all the bad things Ruqs thinks and conspires about Jodha - right now he knows two things: the murti khaand which was relatively minor issue to win elections ...
- The bigger issue is the Sujamal issue ... However, because he feels to blame for listening to Maham Anga ... How can he punish Ruqs for that?
- He has been friends with Ruqs for a long time ... She has stood by him the past, he will not let her go for two mistakes ... She will unfortunately need to make more.
- Also, he will make excuses that he has siyasat work only for Ruqs not for Jodha 😉
- When he gives Jodha a forehead kiss you will notice the difference! 😳

And if that does not calm you down, just remember that Ruqs saved Jodha's life during the MC track twice:
- By nodding her head to give more time for Jodha and her bros before
- By holding the sword when Jalal was about to kill Jodha

For those two good things, try to bear with her though she has worsened since! Isn't amazing how folks change once they view you as competition.

And I think today it was finally proven that Maham Anga did not have a baby in her hand ... It was something precious to the guy that she burned. As if you remember Maham Anga anymore after everything else you saw today! 😆

So, what are your thoughts on the episode?

Thank you for the beautiful 5. You read my mind and explained about Ruqs. she is evil and she has no morals. but I do agree as to why Jalal is still nice to her...!!! I almost saw feelings of sorrynes for Ruqs!! I think he knows a lot but is keeping inside his head as they are close to him.

But thank you for the 5 today!! they are spot on.

Regarding Ruks, I am not angry with Jalal. He treats her as a friend and that's it for me. Honestly I do not watch Ruks scene so it does not bother me... All I want from Jalal is to stop Ruks from insulting Jo. That he needs to do.

Let's see how it plays out ... Not going to worry about an insult that has not happened yet😊
