Manisha is a native of Bhopal : Everyone has seen Manisha in the role of Salima Begum but very few know that she is originally from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It is from here that she completed her graduation and did a small acting course after which she became a part of the glamour world.
First time on TV : Although she has gained recognition after playing the role of Salima Begum, but she has done a lot of serials before as well. She began her acting career by acting in doordarshan's show 'Imtihaan'. Besides, she was also seen on LIfe OK's 'Shapath' and Sony International Channel's 'CID'.
She has no God father : According to the Saturday, 10 May interview of Manisha published in Dainik Bhaskar, she has said that does not have a Godfather. She is trying to gain foothold in the industry solely on her talent. She has signed some really good projects as well. Now she has the challenge of proving herself to everyone. After completing her acting course from Anupam Kher's acting school in Mumbai, she set out to carve an identity for herself in the entertainment industry.
She researched for 'Jodha Akbar' : Manisha considers it pure luck that she could be a part of a historical show like 'Jodha Akbar'. In her interview to Dainik Bhaskar, Manisha said that she researched a lot on Akbar's intelligent wife, Salima Begum and read up on history as well.She is happy that her work got noticed after playing Salima's character.
Manisha has done an item number as well : Manisha has done item numbers in the Hindi film 'Makad Jaal' and the Marathi film 'Full to Dhamaal!' These films will release soon
