The palaces were made in such a manner that in daytime they were sufficiently lighted by sun. The sunrise and sunset directions and positioning of sun was of great importance while constructing any building.

And at night, so much magnificent was the jewel work inside the palaces that a small earthen lamp could light up the entire place/hojra. I mean a small amount of light was sufficient to make the entire area glow, as many gems were inlaid in the walls which used to shine by small amount of light falling on them.

1. I didn't get the jhumka part? Why did they make jhumka's on the wall.Just like they showed in the show akbar has fetish for her payels. Did he had fetish gor her jhumkas too? 😆
