We feel bad for him, but he LOVES Jodha and he would have willingly done anything for her, which I think he will do now.

I think he saw SD from back and did not hear his voice clearly so maybe that is why after saving Jalal's life Suj will get into woman's clothes. Maybe either he wants to know about SD or he might see the portrait and realise SD's plans about Jodha cos he hears only AM promising to do something for the plotter.
