Wow, what was there not to like about today's episode- this week has been like a crescendo where Jodha Akbar has risen from the bottoms of the Ben track and soared to the dumps.I usually say the top 5 things I like about the episode, but today it is going to be hard to limit myself to 5 ... Let's see how far I go in what is fast becoming one of my most favorite episodes.I am going to start at the end ...(1) "Hum aapse mohabhat karte hein" - the words we were all dying to hear finally came on screen. For those who thought he didn't directly say it yesterday, he did today. And he wasn't all begging today- it was between him and Jodha and he wanted her back. What a well imagined scene of Jodha near her death and Jalal bringing her back. Mages made an excellent post earlier today that Jodha did not have the will to live and Jalal would need to force her to come back. A brilliant prediction and brilliant execution by the CVs. Rajat and Paridhi were great in that scene. Some may feel Paridhi was a bit stoic in the scene but I think she had hardened herself to take all the blows of her husband, like a soldier off to war and she was softened by Jalal's words. And what an apt ending to the episode- there was always a strong connection between Jodha and Jalal's hands and to zoom in on Jodha's hands awakening in Jalal's was so perfect! 😊(2) The Akdha flashback: unless I have amnesia, this is a new scene we have never scene before. But it brought together every signature point of this jodi: the "hamare paas dil nahin hein", the "taana", Jodha's defiant , "kyun"... It brought memories of multiple Akdha scenes. This was such a strong foil to the Jalal reflecting on this scene and Jodha dying for her Jalal. It just shows how far they had come. Contrast that with the dialogue in (1)- how far this jodi has come and here I was thinking the love story had not moved an inch.(3) Jalal lighting the diya for Jodha in front of Krishna. What tricksters the CVs are- the promo showed the diya going out after he prayed instead of before. In any case, loved the scene. I loved the scene as he flashbacks how Jodha had showed him how to pray- a parallel to the flashback of how he remembered how Jodha had learned for him when they visited Ajmer Sharif. This reinforces that this jodi is so balanced- they complete each other so well.(4) The HB-Jalal scene - what a touching scene! Jalal puts his head on HB's shoulder. It reminded me of the scene between MA-Jalal after Ruq's MC. However, now the bonding is between HB- Jalal. I think this shows that the balance has tilted finally towards HB and hopefully, MA is out of the picture soon or at least weakened. I hope Jalal questions ( after this is all over) why MA was not at his side during this most trying time.(5) Jalal asking duaa from the awaam. The reason I loved this scene was that it was a tribute to Jodha and the impact on his life. It was she who had taught him the importance of getting duaa from the people and that was exactly what he did. Even if Jodha was sleeping her presence was everywhere. I love how he said Hamari Jodha Begum in front of the awaam.Honorable mentions for the day: Ruqaiya slapping Hoshiyar for speaking ill of Jodha ( but wait, more on the precap later), the soul talk which was nice but overshadowed by everything else as he talked of another long night, and Shaguni Bhai is back. While it was nice to see Shaguni Bai back, what she said was pointless- either Jodha's life will end or your worries about her- that is like saying she will either live or die. Great prediction! 😕Precap: Ruqs is back to her usual self. It didn't take long. She is fine with Jodha her husband's savior but not lover. Too bad I can see the next track coming ... I would call this the drishti / kaala tikka scene of today. I think the CVs do not want to give away what goes on between Jodha and Jalal tomorrow so threw this useless scene. Way to go Moti, I saw a parallel with the scene where Jodha wanted to tell Jalal that Ben was a vishkanya and Ruqs would not let her in. I have a feeling Moti may call it out.The good news, Jodha and Shehenshah are finally talking and I am looking forward to this conversation. Now the sad news for me, I will be on a train tomorrow night and will miss the episode. But I will be in the forums eager to find out what happened!😭

And so right about the "Hand" part. He has held her hand to make her his "Kutputli", he has held her hand to manipulate her into feeding him, he has held her hand to mock her, he has held her hand to dominate her, he has held her hand to keep her safe, and now he is holding her hand to bring her back, he is holding her hand because he want to and because he simply can not go on without her hand.(2) The Akdha flashback: unless I have amnesia, this is a new scene we have never scene before. But it brought together every signature point of this jodi: the "hamare paas dil nahin hein", the "taana", Jodha's defiant , "kyun"... It brought memories of multiple Akdha scenes. Contrast that with the dialogue in (1)- how far this jodi has come and here I was thinking the love story had not moved an inch.So true. 😃(3) Jalal lighting the diya for Jodha in front of Krishna. Observe how he does not want comfort from anyone. Even from HB, he accepts her embrace only for a moment. Becasue he thinks he does not deserve to be comforted.(5) Jalal asking duaa from the awaam. It was she who had taught him the importance of getting duaa from the people and that was exactly what he did. Even if Jodha was sleeping her presence was everywhere. I love how he said Hamari Jodha Begum in front of the awaam.Yes. "duaa" comes a full circle.

And what an apt ending to the episode- there was always a strong connection between Jodha and Jalal's hands and to zoom in on Jodha's hands awakening in Jalal's was so perfect! 😊Loved the bold lineIn response to Tasnim's post on why Jalal hadn't said the magic words at the dargah, I had replied:He will make that confession only to Jo when she is ready. These are words only for her ears and he won't even let God into his secret before her. 😳 Only these words have the power to make her want to live. That's why I had stated in "Suicidal" that even if she didn't have to save Jalal's life, she would have killed herself after hearing his words of rejection ("I will not look at your face even if you are dying.") because life without him would be meaningless for her. If she only wanted to save Jalal, she would have thrown the cup and not drunk it to prove her point. She only drank it because at that point her dejection was so complete, she wanted to die. But, then also a part of her wanted to hear Jalal's acceptance of her. That's why she didn't die immediately. She was struggling between life and death, not knowing whether to die after his rejection or live in the hope that he would accept her someday.(2) The Akdha flashback: unless I have amnesia, this is a new scene we have never scene before. Agree(3) Jalal lighting the diya for Jodha in front of Krishna. What tricksters the CVs are- the promo showed the diya going out after he prayed instead of before. In any case, loved the scene. So true(4) The HB-Jalal scene - what a touching scene! I hope Jalal questions ( after this is all over) why MA was not at his side during this most trying time.
I think somewhere Jalal is getting disillusioned with MA and hence turning to HB. He has seen how MA has been making life difficult for Jodha, interfering in their relationship and manipulating Ruq since his marriage with Jodha. Though he hasn't said anything to her yet, this is the start of the end of their relationship. In the Ben track also, he is relying more on Atga than her. And somewhere Ben's last words that MA had helped her come close to Jalal must be rankling in his subconscious. She is not showing any false feeling of sympathy also for Jodha or Jalal. When everyone, even Ruq is affected, she is so stoic. Doesn't she worry what Jalal will think of her indifference?HB is such a warm, balanced person. When Jalal was fighting for life in the tiger track, she supported Jodha and now she is supporting Jalal. I hope Jalal realises her value also now.(5) Jalal asking duaa from the awaam. The reason I loved this scene was that it was a tribute to Jodha and the impact on his life. It was she who had taught him the importance of getting duaa from the people and that was exactly what he did. Even if Jodha was sleeping her presence was everywhere. I love how he said Hamari Jodha Begum in front of the awaam.
That's why I will always like Jodha for being such a positive influence on Jalal. She doesn't have to say anything to him. Just being with her has made Jalal want to be a better person. This is true love. Much better than the Ruq kind of love where she just accepts him loyally and lets him continue on a path of arrogance. Somewhere this is the reason why Jalal couldn't find a soulmate in Ruq but found one in Jodha. He grew up in a hostile, insecure world, separated from his family, reared by people who knew nothing of love. All his life he was yearning for love and to be able to love, without realising it. He kept telling Ruq he had no heart and she let him continue like that? If she really loved him, why didn't she tell him to his face that he had a heart and she would make it throb? She is not so frightened of him, is she? Some have said she was afraid to lose a friend and so kept quiet. But a real friend would not value her friendship more than making the other person's life more beautiful. Jodha was the first one to tell him he had a heart. She made him realise he was more than an emperor. He was also a human being with feelings.Honorable mentions for the day: Ruqaiya slapping Hoshiyar for speaking ill of Jodha ( but wait, more on the precap later), the soul talk which was nice but overshadowed by everything else as he talked of another long night, and Shaguni Bhai is back. While it was nice to see Shaguni Bai back, what she said was pointless- either Jodha's life will end or your worries about her- that is like saying she will either live or die. Great prediction! 😕When she said that Jo's dadi's worries for Jo's life will end, it means that now Jalal will take charge of Jo's life fully and the dadi need never worry about Jo's life ever again. He will even fight with fate and God (like a male Savitri) and bring her back. Divya, do you remember how he saved Jo when she jumped in the lake? Then also he didn't want her to die but he didn't know or think why. Now he knows why she can't die. They have really come a long way since then. 😳Precap: Ruqs is back to her usual self. I have a feeling Moti may call it out.I didn't understand the highlighted lines. Pl samjhao 😕The good news, Jodha and Shehenshah are finally talking and I am looking forward to this conversation.Loved that scene where she wants him to let her go and he says he won't let her go. As she would say, Kitne hatti hain shahenshah 😳Now the sad news for me, I will be on a train tomorrow night and will miss the episode. But I will be in the forums eager to find out what happened!😭so sad 😭 i will miss the episodes from mon to wed as going out of town. Hope she wakes up tomorrow and they hug each other by friday 😉

Divya, I love the positive take..
But not sure why though...I ask myself I didn't want to hear the "hum Aapse Mohobbat Karte Hain" dialogue yet...Its probably due to the possibility of some mushy romance that could follow...which am definitely not for, and the fear if Jodha might remember this. Now they are talking in the precap. That I love it...Finally! I've ranted enuf about the lack of that following Tiger...So am happy about that.

I dunno if it's just me, but I think that scene where jalal is talking to jodha and he admits that he loves her could have been better if they kept it real. I kind of think it was slightly unnecessary to show that bit where jodha's soul is leaving her body and jalal is trying to bring her back. I mean they could have had jalal say all those things while he's still sitting by her bed. It kind of confused me. I was trying to work out whether it was just his soul made that confession to jodha or whether he really said it.
With that being said, I still really loved every minute of today's episode. That was just a little issue that I couldn't help but notice.
Hey guys! Just a quick heads-up before you start reading. This story is totally fictional....everything here is purely from my imagination......
