Waise to let all of you knw, Ekta had at the start of the show made the statement that she was not going to be focussing on Akbar's life as a warrior and the associated wars but on his personal life and his associated relationships.
Unfortunately she does not realise that Akbar did not need Jodha to make him intelligent and liberal. That was an innate quality of the Emperor - Infact he was a King and a philosopher, who was always in search of the truth and hence accepted the known and the unknown. A ruler who was on the most beautiful journey of knowing the Self and the Absolute. Jodha perhaps was the doorway to that journey.
There were so many interesting things in Akbar's life that the creators of this show could have used if they had even half the brains that we seem to have. For example-
1. The pilgrim tax2. Jazia3. Sati- Akbar got news that a queen of Amer was about to commit sati. He rode out there as fast as he could to order her to stop.4. Various wars, Rajputana still has to be won, also Bengal, Orissa and Gujarat.5. Akbar conquered Kandahar from the mighty Shah of Persia.6. His interest in various religions, visit to Goindwal to meet the Sikh guru. His donation of land for the golden temple.
