Ruqs will enjoy it, but it's on behalf on jalal. She dared to hurt him so she will not feel sympathy for her as yet. It's not about one upping Jo but about hurting the one thing dear to her. She is just like jalal in that sense.

I haven't watched so i might be wrong . Once she gets to know the letter was false she will try to help Jo and jalal . For now she believes jalal , that he was mislead by her letter on purpose . She doesn't know the other side of the story yet.

Excellent write about Jala and RT portrayal of Jalal, loved the way you described his emotions the moment he enters Jodha's room.

I do not completely agree with your take on Jodha. I would give credit to Jodha that she stayed very calm given her issues about ratri vyatit. 😉

She has no ideas that Jalal loves her as he clearly told her after the pregnancy track that he does not love her. I agree that woman generally know when a man wants more than just friendship, its generally always more. In this case though, Jodha has not realized her feelings for Jalal and neither has Jalal given her reason to believe that he is in love with her. She feels its only respect, trust and admiration. When Jalal comes and checks about the letter, she feels that Jalal feels the same about her. She also notices that he is drunk, and might be going overboard with his statements. She is still overwhelemed at what Jalal did in Tasneems case, wants to be extra nice to him for going above and beyond in passing that law. Jodha would have understood his advances had she not been under this feeling of being indebted/elated/awe because of his handling of tasneem case. I do not feel she lead him on at all, she was as clueless as Jalal was about the facts of letter.

Yes, she does not understand other peoples emotions as well as Jalal. But, may be it was more because of her wounds not getting healed. Once they were healed by Jalal, she was the first one to return the favor. She reaches out to him after the pregnancy track, nobody understood Jalal's situation at that time. Even if they did, no one other than Jodha did anything about it.

Finally got a chance to watch the episode.

If ever there was a heroine more undeserving of her hero that is Jodha begum. If at all she was right yesterday, she was completely wrong today. After everything he said yesterday, after him saying I bow down to you she had the gall to cheapen and degrade his emotions so ruthlessly today. that was the final straw for him, it pushed him over the edge. She made sure she twisted the knife in there deep. And I hate how she forces herself upon him after spurning him and after he told her leave. Space Jodha begum, something you don't understand. This love story can never be epic simply because she incapable of understanding the depth of his feelings. Even when she falls in love with him, he will love her far more. Even that is ok if she understands the value of it, the advantage of that. But I really doubt she will. Why the heck was she angry when she came to him? what happened to the apology? How dare she use him and her status for everything but not even have basic decency to let him down gently. 😡😡😡

Having said all that I absolutely HATE HATE HATE this track. It not only cheapen the bedroom activities of a man of an emperor no less, where he coyly discusses it with his foster mom (which man does that?) it ruined what should have been an epic confession of feelings. I'm not a big fan of love confessions, I like when its left unsaid and when it is just felt in your soul, but this story needs one. I cant be sure I wont think back to this moment when the real confession comes again. Jalal for heavens sake, stop telling MA everything, I'm surprised nobody in the palace has told you what she talks about behind your back. So much for the network of spies. And please dont use your best friend as a consolation prize, that is so not nice. You only made her sit next to you to get back at Jodha, but not because you wanted her there. Dont involve her in this plan of yours even if she will be more than happy to do anything for you. As a friend you owe her more.

How nice would it have been if Jalal had simply pretended Jodha seized to exist for him in public? The CVs are purposely making Jalal stoop so low so that he goes and apologizes to her again when the truth about the letter is revealed and then raises that pedestal he places her on another two feet and increases the wattage of that blinding halo. Please Jalal, there is nothing better than a royal snub. Dont waste your energy on this flimsy plot to extract your vengence and lose yourself and your self in the process. Just get out of that harem ASAP. Go hunting if you want to snub her, do something but dont cheapen yourself in the process.

I dont get Ruks today. What is her stand in this? Her conversation with Ma was so vague.

Yes please spare us, everything about this track sucks. I don't mind the emotions being out in the open and frayed tempers and confusion and all that is all grand. The story needed a jump start, but we just jump started into the gutter. I wish Jalal didn't cheapen himself in his quest to ridicule Jodha, what does that say to his court when he places a courtesan beside himself, smack myself in the head moment oh boy total blot on his image. Is he bringing Jodha down and him down as well.

Royal snub would have been the better option. Him going away from the harem, mughal sultanate is not all about Agra doesn't he need to travel and see to administrative activities elsewhere if not swing a sword do some slashing. But I expected this Jalal is extreme in everything ignoring someone as a way of punishment is not in his nature. Sigh we have to concede to his this weakness, but he is definitely drowning in anger masking his grief hence not thinking straight.

You are right the beauty of his confession was killed today. First by the one person that should have honored it, his wife soiled it by her crude words and attitude. Now can they recreate the same intensity in jalal again, will he bare his soul with the same fervent anxiety hmmm once bitten twice shy, probably not the innocence in his feelings will be lost. What should have been an epic moment in the show so far will want to be forgotten. Infact I was quite surprised at the amount of stuff Jalal actually confessed to how in depth his feelings were because I thought he still had some ways to go, but which made it even more tragic. I wish he didn't say all that but now we know what he truly feels but he chose the wrong moment and the wrong person so sad for him.

I am not sure how all this will end but definitely badly for us because Jalal would go off the deep end which means he is only to come back begging. If there is any irrefutable truth we should all know by now is that Jodha takes Jalal for granted period.

Unfortunately he will come back and do all the making up and the way he is reacting now there might be a lot of making up to do while many of us are sighing in resigned frustration because he is actually the one in need of consolation and that will go totally unnoticed.

There was no need to show Jodha as the super smart begum in the Tasneem track. But maybe she can do some out of the box thinking now. During the fake pregnancy track, Jalal was able to put aside his feeling of betrayal and pay attention to why she was delivering her 3453280954th bhashan on honor and pride and vachans. Maybe she can try and dissect why he is reacting this way? Ask Salima begum for help or something. She professes to be able to see that he has a heart, then why not try to understand how it functions?? But alas, I might be hoping for far too much.
