A Man's point of view-Don't worry about the TRP

Hi, I am a newcomer here. As a man, I am a bit embarrassed that this post will be read almost entirely by women but still I want to express myself, so here goes.
Before a month back I had never seen a serial in my life, I never knew what words like TRP or "Track" meant. I got into Jodha Akbar by accident and I have been hooked ever since.
It has everything I want in a television program, a flawed hero, political intrigue, history, culture, warfare and I can handle the doses of relationships and love scenes that are a necessary part of a Hindi serial.
After I had watched many old JA episodes, I reconsidered my opinion of Hindi serials. I watched episodes of a few other serials like Divya Baati. I am sorry to say my initial skepticism was proved correct, I just don't get the typical Hindi serial and perhaps never will.
I saw some posts about people worried about the TRP. For goodness sake don't make JA a mind numbing saas-bahu experience.
As for TRP'S,high TRP'S are not the only way to make money, I am pretty sure that they will be able to sell this serial in foreign markets. Those audiences are crazy about Indian culture and history. Can you imagine a foreign TV company buying something like Divya Baati, only JA can do that.

And to the makers, please advertise JA not only as a Hindi serial but as a "Game of Thorns" kind of blend of various genres. I think of myself as an average man with normal interests. If I can be hooked by it other men can too. If JA with correct advertising manages to get even a small proportion of male audience then it's ratings will dwarf any hindi serial watched only by women.

Aww. Welcome. We are happy to have a guy around here. 😆 And I agree, I hope it never becomes the garden-variety saas-bahu drama.

oh wow,i never thought a man would get hooked to JA,i hope u r enjoying it though,i feel it has a perfect blend of everything which a moder serial misses out on,and yes if advertised properly and sold to proper markets will be a deal maker for zee and ekta...lets hope they listen to its ardent fans and finally plan a proper promotional plan for it.
