A little strange - Moti does not belong in the harem

Moti does not live in the harem, at least that is what is to be gleaned from the last couple of episodes. When Moti is asked what she was doing in the harem, Moti says she wandered in by mistake and wanted to check out/see the harem, implying she has never before set foot in the harem. When Jalal is seatching for the man that entered the harem, Jodha tells Moti "lets go back" further lending credence to the fact that neither Jodha nor Moti are regulars in the harem.

So if Moti does not frequent the harem, in fact has never before entered the harem, why would the poor shepherd man, an unlikely suitor, come looking for Moti inside the harem? Doesn't Jalal know that Moti is a stranger to the harem so the shepherd couldn't have been there because of Moti? Did Maham Anga forget this little fact when she had Resham insert that insidious note around the dead man's waist?

Jodha's place is separate... But it's still a part of the HArem.. there are no men allowed both places.. The main part of the harem I guess is for other women.

If Jodha's place is separate and Moti isn't wont to visit the main harem, why would the shepherd come into the main harem looking for Moti? He should have been found dead in Jodha's palace.

He could have gone running from the guards.. since all are interconnected and seemingly next to each other.

Good reasoning. But he ran away from the guards only to die with a note to Moti tied around his waist and the note looked fancy. As someone else mentioned, he was likely an illiterate shepherd. Jalal called her a Gustakhi ladki, audacious girl, didn't sound like he believed the story of the lovelorn shepherd.

He thought she was trying to take advantage of the fact that he was being kind to her.. asking her personally to fess up..She is a mere daasi..

Sigh, sure wouldn't have liked to live in those days. One of many wives or a daasi or part of a harem with neither the title of wife nor mistress, poor women.
