I love watching historical sagas, especially the Mughal era type. But of course, nothing will ever compare to the Jodhaa Akbar enacted by Aishwarya-Hrithik.

For me, I found two criticisms today:

1) idk but Ekta serials always have really horrible cinematography...quality wise compared to serials from other production houses or star plus serials, they always have a crisp quality to them. But Ekta's serials (including this one) have an unfinished or home-quality type finish to them...do you know what I'm talking about?
2) OTT acting. I probably should give Paridhi Sharma and the cast of JA a break, considering it was the first episode, but that scene where she's urging the guard to go and protect the murti (am I referring to it correctly?) was really...um... (and maybe its also b/c I can't get PS's previous role in Ruk Jana Nahin out of my mind when I see her as Jodha ;))

I do hope this lives up to the hype and the above criticism can be written off as first episode blues.

I have to say though, I did enjoy the beginning - the two souls talking. That was really cute and pretty original.

But two more criticisms I forgot (relating directly to the serial and not technical stuff): her sister?? and her parents running after her (Rajput royalty running after their daughter...and then the whole behes/arguing infront of everyone - Jodhaa I mean, with her parents).

They need to correct their royal "adaa"

Lastly - the CGI effects weren't as great or idk didn't meet expectations from a serial that is supposed to be a "magnum opus".

its first epi so effects will come round

as for rajput manners

every production house has different take on them

in ekta aunty mahabharta also

teenage pandavs n kaurava's use to behave like that only

i mean bickering n making up like other contemporary serials

as i said its upto the production house n channel creatives

how they show routine day of life in their historical shows

as for the bloopers that king running after the daughter was weird. i mean he is a king . he cud have summon her later and then jodha might have gave the sweet thought on how warrior shud have a heart.

but as said it depends on the behind the camera ppls how the actors act

on end note ,

as ekta aunty excused her self for bringing "greek fashion" in mahabharta , i quote her (in my words)" you weren't there at that time . how can u guess how they behaved. its my interpretation "

cutting some slack to creatives they might have shown the royalties behaving like normal ppls of our era (i mean sister behaviour , other stuff). they did so we can relate to it.

give show time it will come around

p.s- only i hated is that the poor pigeon wasn't offered "haldi wala" first aid and was magically cured

Well I agree with you for the first one... Sometimes it looks so fake that you can't enjoy the scene 😕

About acting... I don't know if it was the right choice 😕 I like Rajat but as Akbar 😕 Let's see if he can portray Akbar's elegance 😳 And about the male lead... let's see also 😆
