This is the work of Vishal Shekhar till now.It is said that any composer gives the best output when he is young and this is the probably the best the duo could have given. Well in my opinion (with due respect to their fans) except for a handful of memorable compositions others are like 2 minute noodles, easily cooked, consumed and even easily forgotten.
I really don't understand why they fail to pick up mistakes, how an average rendition gets atleast 8 on their score card and why don't they explain to the participants on how the job should have been done when they are critical. Remember the days when greats like Pt Jasraj, Amjad Ali sir used to be judges on the musical shows and it was much more meaningful to watch these programmes./
How long are these comments going to help: sur bikhare hue the, aap gane se attached nahi the, aapne gane ko feel nahi kiya, I really want them to show the way how it could have been done. I can understand if Vishal avoids mike, coming from a rock band backgound it is difficult to imagine him singing a classical song…!! (In this matter the only exception that leaps to my mind is KK who despite being from a rock band is a gifted singer) But even Shekhar doesn't show the way.
I hope I haven't offended the fans of the duo….just my opinion only.
As far Farah is concerned less said the better……
