This is the work of Vishal Shekhar till now.
It is said that any composer gives the best output when he is young and this is the probably the best the duo could have given. Well in my opinion (with due respect to their fans) except for a handful of memorable compositions others are like 2 minute noodles, easily cooked, consumed and even easily forgotten.
I really don't understand why they fail to pick up mistakes, how an average rendition gets atleast 8 on their score card and why don't they explain to the participants on how the job should have been done when they are critical. Remember the days when greats like Pt Jasraj, Amjad Ali sir used to be judges on the musical shows and it was much more meaningful to watch these programmes./
How long are these comments going to help: sur bikhare hue the, aap gane se attached nahi the, aapne gane ko feel nahi kiya, I really want them to show the way how it could have been done. I can understand if Vishal avoids mike, coming from a rock band backgound it is difficult to imagine him singing a classical song…!! (In this matter the only exception that leaps to my mind is KK who despite being from a rock band is a gifted singer) But even Shekhar doesn't show the way.

I hope I haven't offended the fans of the duo….just my opinion only.

As far Farah is concerned less said the better……

Vishal-Shekar are, in my opinion, the music directors of today. Their music is popular, is recognized, and desired. But that in no way adheres to the fact that today's music can in no way be compared or regarded in the same manner as the melodies of the past. And for us to compare today's MDs to RD Burman or any legends of the past is utterly foolish on our part. With time, things change and while it is okay to admire the past, one must also learn to accept the present.

As far as the judging goes on the show, I'm with you. There are many a times where favoritism is the source of the comments and many other times the judges are either too harsh or too lenient. As far as VS being unable to express their comments accurately, I think there is a reason behind that as well. They are MDs of today and on top of the charts right now, so for them to be extremely critical of these contestants could possibly bring their popularity down. And not even that, being smack in the middle of their success I personally think that no one is able to be extremely critical of anyone. I'm not saying that that's the right thing to do, but I do feel that, regardless of all facts, it exists.

VS would be much more regarded and honored judges if the truthfully and honestly said what was actually on their mind, instead of trying to be nice to the contestants.

^^ i agree to d fact dat theyw ere better on srgmp sumthing ahs got into them ever since they gt into jjws maybe theyve just learnt dat overly speaking der mind cud create problems fr thm n der career n i dun s'pose dat jjws is more imp to them than der careers so ya i think they r juss being real n practical nuthing wrong wid dat every1s wants to save der a**es dun they? n y nt to do so wen they can still have der cake n eat it too..!! i think its fair enough!

n abt comparing thm to d legends its totally totally unfair to both d parties they r all so different n wen i say dat they r craving a path fr themselves

i dont mean in d clas of RD Burman but they def. will bcum legends in der own way sum day..!
