I don't understand the concept of wild card entries.
What was the need of introducing new contestants that too when the grand finale is so near.
It is unfair both for the existing participants who are struggling to remain in the show from the beginning and also for the new contestants who are yet to develop a connection with the audience.
It was quite predictable that the new entries will get eliminated first.
If they want to continue the show for more weeks they could have given a second chance to the participants who got eliminated.
I am sure they would have received more votes than the newcomers.

I agree! I liked it better in the past seasons where the wild card entries were introduced a bit earlier.

The wild card issue is something I have really disliked ever since JDJ moves from SONY to Colors.

When the show was on SONY, the wild cards were the contestants that had already been eliminated. I thought that idea was much better because as you said TM, the audience had already seen and connected to the wild cards. That was a great way for eliminated contestants to have another chance, especially ones who were actually good. They actually had a realistic chance to win.

Prachi Desai in Season 2 was eliminated and then came back as a wild card and WON the season. Salman and Yana (one of my faves) in Season 4 were eliminated from the show and came back as wild cards and went all the way to the finale.

When the show moved to COLORS (since Season 5), they changed the wild card idea to bringing in brand new contestants. Ever since then, no wild card had a realistic chance to win. Someone like Rithivik Dhanjani who's a great dancer would have a proper chance of winning if he didn't come as a wild card and lost to Gurmeet.

So I don't agree with the current format of wild card entries. It's not logical for the contestants, the wild cards, or the audience.
