First things first, mom & brother watched Sanaya's act with me. They only catch her part. Mom doesn't know anyone else on that show. Anyway, they were super impressed with the amazing lifts. They didn't mind the sensuality of the act that muhc. They know it is just an act. Now, that AV. How many contestants had their career struggle related AV on this show? And, how many of them had no sob story. None, except the wonder boy of Jhalak, who is almost as no nonsense as Sanaya. And, now comes Sanaya's journey. The woman is such a tough nut. Her parents were as straightforward as her. And, Sanaya, no wallowing in self pity for her. She is competitive, perhaps not with the crowd, but she is this person with such a healthy dose of ambition, an eagerness to conquer anything. Whether she does that or not, her fighter spirit is what is amazing. I love her approach to life. How sorted is she! She might be crazy-seems very nutty from whatever I have seen of her in all these years, but underneath all that madness is a woman who knows what the hell she is doing. So, kudos to the undaunting spirit of this amazing woman. Now, the act. The ease, the flow, the absolutely stunningly choreographed lifts, the expressions, the entire act was fantastic. You know, I said it yesterday, & I will say it again. Jai seems to have taken all the criticism that he got for the Pehli Baar act to his head & heart. And, he seems to have decided to push himself & Sanaya 5 miles out of their comfort zone. And, Sanaya, what a woman, this one! There was nothing off about the act, nothing. They were stunning. I LOVED all the lifts. They have been acing the lifts department since 2 weeks now. And, Sanaya's stance & poise, I am no dancer but, all of it looks so professional. Her learning curve has been so steep. I hope this duo reaches greater heights in this competition. And, while Sanaya is such a wonderful actor, it is a rarity to see her in this avatar. And, I enjoyed it. Her expressions were all there. To think that she is a non-dancer & she has probably so many steps going on in her head, she never ever forgets to emote. It is stunning, the way she became this "Lady in Red" in every sense. But, while I am impressed & unsurprised about her acting skills, I am in awe of how good a dancer she has become & is continuing to become. This act, she did with the confidence & perfection that only a professional dancer can bring to the stage. I don't go into hyperboles. I mean it. Anyone who doubts it, should only watch the act again & notice the lifts. And, the post act bit was adorable. Whoever it is that paired Sanaya with Jai, pat yourself on the back because he is the perfect foil for her. They seem to have such an amazing equation. And, he is about as crazy, if not crazier than her. He has been carefully raising the level of difficulty for her & that is showing, now. They had a slow start but they have arrived & in style. And, surprisingly there was a lot of chemistry between Jai & Sanaya during the act. And, once the act got over, they were back to making nutty statements. And, I love Manish Paul for making Jai talk because he says the zaniest stuff. So, yes. This performance was awesome. While everyone was wondering how they would match up to the standard of the previous week's aerial act, Sanaya-Jai pulled another winner out of their pocket. Keep going you guys. Rock the stage. I have nothing to say about the marathon. It was too haphazard to even understand what was going on. What I did feel, I already said it on the LU thread.
