Is Prachi lying about her age?

It's been a week since Balaji bahu Prachi Desai managed to win the 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' trophy and the cash prize money beating the fabulous dancer Sandhya Mridul who also happened to be the favourite of two judges, Shiamak Davar and Urmila Matondkar.

This was followed by extensive reports in the media that the final was rigged, especially since the winner had entered the contest through a mysterious wild card entry (which was not there in the original format and not in the last season of JDJ). One week on and the discontent continues to simmer.

It's a fact that Sandhya and other deserving people's defeat has shocked and disillusioned many. A production person who has been with the biggest soap factory for years on the condition of anonymity too (to our surprise) decided to speak out against what he thinks is ' a gross injustice'.

"Of course something was wrong about the whole thing. In reality shows, we mostly have male winners. So that way chocolate boy Jay Bhanushali should have won. In fact, apart from 'Li'l Champs' last year, where the kid Sanchita won, the only competition that has had female winners is 'Jhalak Dikkla Jaa'.

Last time too, not many were happy when Mona Singh beat the lovely Shveta Salve. But at least Mona was not ousted and then made a re-entry through some wild card entry.

It was such blatant partiality happening around with Jeetuji also openly supporting Prachi and not praising the much better performers enough. One could actually sense the wrong vibes."

Continuing his rant he said, "There are so many hardworking artistes in Balaji. But Prachi is now the most privileged one there. In fact she has taken Anita Hassanadani's place in Ekta's heart.

The way Ekta tried (though with not very successful results) to push Anita into Bollywood, the same has been the case with Prachi now. She might talk about being young, but doesn't look so. Looks like her so called age too is a created, over hyped thing.

She is an average looker. But today ahead of much prettier TV actresses she is getting a chance to work with Farhan Akhtar in Ekta's cousin Abhishek Kapoor's movie.

Good for Prachi, she is making hay while the sun shines so bright. She has been very smart unlike the sweet teenager she claims to be. She has completely won over Ekta.

As for the rest, they can only feel jealous and sidelined. But then we can only hope that the ultimate winner is the one who plays a clean game and achieves things on his/her oWn, not by piggybacking."

"There is something else which shouldn't be ignored too. Prachi was all polite with Urmila Matondkar and Shiamak Davar who pointed out her technical flaws throughout the show.

But once the show got over, I read her talking about how Urmila could say that she felt Sandhya is the winner when actually she has the trophy. Is it because their marks are of no use for her now?

Urmila was only speaking her heart out, the truth which is completely fair. They are saying she won as she as Bani is popular. Then why was she ousted in the first place in the Diwali episode?" he argues.

Point to be noted, but then we can't add more to this as the winner has already taken it all. Ekta Kapoor has already given her set of clarifications in the media. We would say we really don't need to say anything more as things can only get dirtier if we do.
