So different people have different objections, different views on different articles/post or on different situations. But isn't it dragging too much? Would like to comment on the most talked issues.
The whole wild card entry issue:
Agreed that she was eliminated like any other contestant but she shouldn't have been eliminated that week at least since she gave a lovely performance that day. If some of you think that her elimination based on her 9th November's performance was right, given the fact that there were many contestants then and it was not a 19-20 difference among all of them…….then believe me you are supporting the whole voting system. But as luck would have it she was eliminated just like Sudha Chandran who has been eliminated despite her good performances. Now there are some Gujarat issue and all that but is that point of belonging to a zone raised for any other contestant? Was only Gujarat voting for her? No way… because her fans or people who like her performance are present all over the country just like that for the other contestants. Then suddenly the wild card entry rule was made and she made an obvious return. Now this obvious bears multiple meanings and everyday these articles help us find more. For us it was an effort to bring back a tough competitor back in the contest. Although the facility was provided for only two strong contenders, it was definitely unfair to declare it like that. Reasons were shown that judging on the marks obtained/performance only two were given the chance but the whole thing could have been avoided by giving every other eliminated participant a fair chance. But suppose any one else than Prachi would have returned, what would have been the reaction? If the participant who returned through wild card entry would have posed no threat to the strong contenders then well and good….number of episodes till finals…stretched, if he/she had the capability of being in the long run or being the dark horse then people must have definitely objected to the turn of course of the game. Yes then it would have been a game, a gamble since winning or losing among equals becomes more of a game of luck! So what if the contestant is Prachi? Except her first ever performance all her performances were up to the mark of being in such a dance competition. Mistakes she used to do, she rectified some…and may be some exist there still but who among the strong contenders didn't go through that phase? Articles/people say that Ekta influenced her re-entry then tell me what her gains were and above all why would Synergy/Siddharth Basu/Sony would abide to her request? Ekta is a big name in the telly world yet she is not God or the most powerful there so that she can manipulate things. Rather than doing that she would prefer to produce her own reality show. She can dictate people with whom she works not outsiders. Another rumor is that Prachi planned her elimination for the shoot of her forthcoming movie. Is Prachi any Shah Rukh Khan or Rani Mukherjee that the channel will be following her terms and conditions? Although popular (due to which she was selected as a contestant) she has no such power and if any of the contestants wants to adjust the commitment rules according to his/her wish then believe me the show would have been never conducted at all. To tell you the reason, if I start making posts here regarding something that is already posted, again and again and if the mods don't ban me won't others do the same thing? There are so many confusing theories behind the whole wild card entry thing....none are strong enough although thought provoking. But who gained the most in all this? No I am not talking of Prachi…it's Sony……so many sms', so many controversies that led to scrutinizing diversion of attention to the show. It just gained over popularity garnering on the popularity of Prachi. If people didn't find her to be suitable to stay on the contest that day then just the two day appeals which were not even made by Prachi would not have generated so much of loyalty among people to keep her still in the contest. So will it be surprising if we come to know that it was a pre-planned move of Sony to fulfill their business means?
The issue of her childish act:
In a serial she does a serious role. She has an image of a fictional character Bani. When it comes to differentiating Prachi as a girl and Bani as a girl we fail to draw the line because unknowingly we look for the same image as Bani. Ask me when she gets too excited I myself fail to draw the line although I realize that people might be different from what they are and how they are portrayed in characters. Many will say that they haven't watched the serial yet they also have an image of her and don't treat her as any other person actually think of her a celebrity who is quite popular. She has acted many a times what appeared childish to us but if she would have been any other person (not a celebrity or a well known face) then our outlook would have been different. We always bear an image in our mind that people like this or people like that should behave like this or that. C'mon they can behave differently because they are all different people. The problem is that we expect people to act like as we think they should. She has a chirpy nature and wants to be the way she always was. I agree that initially we have never seen her like this but there might be two reasons for that – firstly protecting the image of Bani about which she was quite concerned and secondly her thought on how people would accept her as the next door but special girl. She had started to open up with time and now she wants to be herself which is no serious offence. People do react strangely and unexpectedly many a times in their lives, being 19 or 99 doesn't make the difference. If you are going to react like that then you are going to react like that only even before you know what you are doing and how you are doing it. Just today afternoon I was watching the old Jhalak episodes and people saw many of the contestants Jump, Hug, Scream, Dance on occasions. Aren't they the same as what Prachi has done? If the other contestants can express their feelings then why not the little but big girl?
The chances of her winning:
The difference between her and the marks of the top scorers were not much on most occasions. Keeping aside all the votes counted, why couldn't the judges create such differences? If they have their own individual standards for what the scores from 1 to 10 mean to them then how come Prachi got good scores if she didn't perform well and if she performs well why can't she emerge as a winner? When the difference is of 19-20 leave the winning and losing to luck and that's where the game becomes interesting! Her hard work just like any other contestant was reflected in her performance as well as in her marks. None of the contestants gave completely satisfactory performance ever because if one of the viewer has certain objection to someone's some step then other might have for someone's expressions or anything like that. So thinking beyond the judges' decision, people do support different people due to their individual preferences. Then who says Prachi can't be a winner? Even if she loses then also it will be a great achievement for her to reach that extreme point of final judgment which she truly deserved just like some others.
Lastly all those articles……why is it only Prachi related to whom there are so many positive and negative articles? If we believe that there is no smoke without fire then it depends on us how we look at the fire since things are always blown unnecessarily out of proportion. I guess name brings not only fame…..criticism dances at the tail end too.
Waiting to have constructive criticism/ agreement/disagreement to whatever I said…….
