On Reality Shows, it has often happened, that a contestant who is liked by a majority of audience gets harsh treatment from the judges. The judges are frustrated with the audience who doesn't agree with their judgment and saves their favorite week after week....and the frustration is vented out at the contestant. Why don't our dear respectable judges understand that there is nothing in that contestant's hands...he/she is there because he/she cannot walk out on his own...going by the rules, he/she deserves to be there.
In Jhalak too Karan is facing a similar situation. The judges should learn to accect the junta's verdict...if they can't then they shudn't be be a part of the show.I feel it is extremely demoralizing for Karan. The judges are indirectly hitting on him week over week.
It is not Karan's fault that he is popular...and it isn't his fault if Gauhar or Hard Kaur or whoever else dance better than him.He is doing his job...he is dancing ...n that's it.The rest is upto the judges and junta...so he shudn't be rediculed for it.
Every judge has a differet style of judging...sometimes some have no idea about dance (like juhi) and make weird remarks and contradict themselves...(like juhi did in the circus round where she told parul that in at this stage in competition in terms of difficulty, other's did more diff stuff than her ...so her marks wud be less...and in the same show she told baichung that he shud not take the risk of doing something difficult at this stage in competition.Even Juhi should be rediculed for not being as competent as the other judges on the show...like Karan is being rediculed for not being as competent as the other contestants.
(I am not a Karan fan, I am rooting for Baichung)

this is what is called sensible posts by people supporting different contestants..wish the majority of the forum understood this..
coming to ur post, u are totally right.. i could not understand the judges behaviour last saturday at all.. they knew, when they signed on the dotted line that this is first and foremost a popularity based dance show.. read, POPULARITY comes before dance.. and so did the contestants..so why all this hulla now.
and let me tell u, had the judges marked correctly on friday, hard kaur would not have been eliminated.. baichung was NOT better than hard kaur in both the rounds.. hard kaur would've been the top scorer, and it wouldve mostly been gauhar and karan in the dance off. they should realize that in such a format, they are responsible for the results too.. and at such a stage, different criteria of judging is not acceptable.
unless it is all scripted, which is very much possible.. and saroj ji, with all due respects does this in every show.. first, she signs up shows where audience votes is the major factor.. then she expects that the entire country should do as she wants..meaning vote for whom she thinks is best.. juhi and vaibhavi do not seem to be having much here..they r resigned..its saroj ji who is majorly pissed..and her attitude pissed me off.

That's the way cookie crumbles ...the good comes with the bad....if one is willing to take the good...they should be willing to take on the bad just as enthusiastically ..

i am glad that atleast one person agrees...and u r so correct "hope4u" when u say that the judges themselves are responsible for Hard Kaur's ouster.
I like Baichung as a footballer and also as a person (what he comes across as on the show)...and i personally want him to win...but at the same time I feel that sometimes the judges mark Sonia alone for the performance...or Baichung wouldn't having been scoring higher than anybody on the show except the magician guy.
Like me...the judges have their favorites too...so why r they kicking up a fuss when the junta has their favorite too???

exactly.. the for and against people might say anything..but if ur neutral enough, u will recognize that the judging has been inconsistent.. these people, being choreographers tend to concentrate on the choreography.. hence, baichung has been scoring heavily, solely based on the fact that he has a brilliant choreographer..
i love baichung as a person too.. he is so real, and unassuming, u gotta love him..

but honestly, if u see the finale, none of the finalists really deserve to win in the true sense of the word..
as a dancer, i honestly feel karan is better in all departments than baichung..
however if u see as a team, nicole is seriously lacking behind sonia.. but the million dollar question is, how much importance is to be attached to how well the choreographer gets the dance. is it not necessary to see how the actual celebrity is as a dancer, leaving his choreographer's skills aside? this is not nach baliye, where both the partners are judged together.. this is dancing with the stars.. so marking a star, on the basis of his choreographer's skills is ridiculous.. strangely, the only person recognizing and accepting this glaring fact is baichung..and bless him for that!

That means to defend your favourites you'll bash judges???

Girl get you concepts straight before making such a strong post!:-(

I agree that people voting on popularity or region is the norm of most reality shows. Karan is not at fault for his popularity. But what puts me off is that not once have I heard Karan say that he is one of the weaker dancers and that votes have saved him. Hearing him admit this, say that better dancers than him have gone out, would make a huge difference to me. I have heard him say that he takes a longer time to learn steps but not once about his ability as a dancer on this show.
If only when the judges or the hosts hit out at Karan in frustration or question him about votes saving him, at that point I wish that he would open his mouth and say that votes are saving him when marks are not, but it is not in his hands to control the votes. This admission on his part would bring about greater integrity to himself. Judges being judges, in all reality shows know the format and will still complain when popularity or region earn votes because its human nature!
I think that Nicole has also not pushed Karan and somewhere she is the reason why Karan has lagged behind in scores. Nicole dances while she makes Karan stand or lift or just guide her around and this is a disadvantage to Karan. Baichung's greatest advantage is his choreographer Sonia who makes him dance, understanding his abilities and limitations. About Hard Kaur going out, I think its sad, she's a very good dancer and Savio was outstanding too as a choreographer. I think she must have got disillusioned because she was in the dance-off inspite of good marks and that must have made her nervous and affected her dance.
All said and done, at the end of the day, nothing is going to make a difference to the fans!

Yeah..I agree to that..He himself knows that he is over rated and he is accepting it without any reluctance..Thats where I like him. As a matter of fact, the remaining contestants are not really worthy to have that title, so I prefer Baichung out of it. Not neglecting the fact that everybody is working towards it very hard. Now I feel there is no point going behind best dancers. Just thinking how hurt HK would have been after getting eliminated. 😭

Before teaching me concepts...please learn to read and comprehend correctly...I am not BASHING the judges to DEFEND my FAVORITE....KARAN is not my FAVORITE....my fav is Baichung and i dont have to bash the judges for him as he is scoring well already!
Instead of making strong remarks at me....defend the judges if u feel I am wrong about them...or go take a walk.

She said that to parul because her act was way simpler which reflected in marks

whereas bb was topping the show for weeks continuously so she felt it would be safe for him to continue with normal concept and special dancing and not a simple concept.....
