Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa's wildcard episode will see some thrilling performances by the eliminated contestants as they try to fight their way back on to the show. Here is some behind-the-scenes gossip from the episode set to air this Friday.
A source from the show says, "The first big change on the show was Rohit Roy's presence as a host. He hosted this episode and will continue with the upcoming shows too. Along with him, last year's host Mona Singh also joined him. However, she hosted the first half of the episode while Shweta Tiwari took over the rest." The reason behind Ronit replacing original host Shiv Pandit was that Shiv was not getting good enough responses from the audience.
Talking about the performances, the source says, "The highest scorer and total shocker of the evening was composer Anand Raj Anand. He did a comedy act and to a song that had a South Indian touch to it and scored 29 marks. Gauhar too performed well in the wildcard round; her scored was 27."
However, the rest of the ex-contestants were less than impressive. The source says, "Ugesh Sarcar, Mohinder Amarnath, Bhaygyashree, Ram Kapoor and the rest of the performers were fine but they failed to impress the judges very much."
The results of the wildcard entry will be announced on Saturday's episode. There is a possibility that Gauhar or Anand Raj Anand will make it back on the show.
"On the other hand, contestants Karan Grover, Monica Bedi and Hard Kaur performed together on a special song while Shilpa Shukla and Parul Chauhan danced to Oye Re Maro Dholna."
Off screen, Karan had a fight with a security guard when Shraddha (Karan's wife, who accompanies him to the sets every week) was not allowed in the studio. The production house had to step in and managed to solve the issue.
