Oh my, so how many of you knew Mr. Baichung, the legendary soccer player, before?
I confess. I did not know him before. Maybe it's due to my ignorance toward the sport soccer. Or maybe it's because I am international viewer.
So when I first saw him, I was biased and thought to myself "Ehh, soccer player--can't dance!"
Honestly, I believed he would be the first person to be evicted out of the show.
So his 1st performance went quite OK considering the fact that he practiced for 3 days.
Then his second performance went from 0-7, and I was shocked. Still not impressed.
Quite frankly, his third performace did include lots of effort but seemed to not make the judges go GAGA.
Now to his fourth performance, OH MY! I fell head over heals for this man. The man who was called out for not having any expressions nor any dance skills shocked us with his emotions. I am still in dreamland.
Hats off to him and his choreographer Sonia for climbing up the charts with their efforts.
I did not know him before but due to his genuine efforts and off-the-chain dance moves, I am all for him. I googled him and found out about his records and he's simply a star. However, he does not show it off even one bit. His humbless and simplicity will take him far.
I know a lot of us vote for stars that we love and already know, but to me Baichung Bhutia is the real star as firstly I didn't know him well at all and secondly he won me over only and only through dancing.
