thats y i dnt agree with this concept, if u have voring then y the judges? if judges are giovng someone high scores and he gets voted out ( snaath ) for some one with low scores( with greater follwoing) it is really not fair, then it is a popluarity copmeptetion rather than dance! was this the same formart last year too? wasnt voting till afte soemtime?

Yeah that's what I thought was weird too. Who determines who moves on and who gets eliminated, judges or viewer votes?

It is 50% for votes and 50% for

judges points

And the format is same as last year.

Ok, thanks. This is my first time watching it so I didn't know.

With that, I can see leo4ever's point more clearly. It seems a little odd because it can easily turn into a popularity contest.

But I'll watch when I can and figure it out as it goes on.

It was really silly of the judges to give Sanath a 27...he can't dance and they were being kind..but it wasn't fair to the others.

I think Talat, Sanath and the aam aadmi need to go...not trying to be mean but it is a dance competition. But yeah the one with the lowest score isautomatically at a disadvantage.

Judges will not give such marks from nowonwards,bcoz last year finalists were very good dancers and average dancers got average marks in deciding episodes. Like Daya and Akhil(boxer) got eliminated in d begining and judges used to give them 6 or 7 marks.
It is their strategy to give non dancer celebs a chance. If Sanath,Susheel and Talat wud have given 21 marks, then they will get eliminated in d first weeks and no non- dancer will come for Jhalak.

But if they continue giving sympathetic marks,thumbs down. In d end may d best dancer win, u can appreaciate non-dancers' efforts but cannot lead them further at d cost of potential dancers.

acha, i wasnt clear on the format myslef, then they vote for all the lowest three? what if the highest gets the lowest is he then not safe?

I am saying this on basis of their attitude towards non-dancers in general. Who knows d real format?? And they dont really vote for lowest three bcoz Talat got low marks(i guess 23) it seems unfair now looking at Sanath's 27 marks. Just bcoz Sanath is legendary cricketer!!

All in all it is confusing as well as interesting!!
contestant with highest judge marks can get eliminated(though rare),if his total points are d least.
