Himani Kapoor and Karan Oberoi Karan Oberoi does not like going around making sisters at his work place. Recently, on the sets of Zee's Antakshari Himani insisted on tying a rakhi on Karan while shooting for a Raksha Bandhan episode. Karan refused Himani outright, saying that he already has a sister at home and doesn't believe in making rakhi sisters in the industry. But Himani wouldn't listen - she even began addressing Karan as 'bhaiyya'. The duo got into a huge argument and unit members had to barge in and lead Himani away so that Karan could cool down. The entire unit was shocked to see Karan object to being given a rakhi by his colleague. Says Karan, "We were shooting the rakhi episode and I got to know that two of the contestants were siblings, so we called for rakhis. Himani tried to tie a rakhi on me, which really pissed me off as she kept chasing me around on the sets to do so. I told her that I have a sister and can't let her tie a rakhi on me. She can't force these things on me. I am a shy and private person. I do not like these kind of surprises." Adds Karan, "Inspite of my telling her all this, she continued to chase me. I was extremely uncomfortable. I got angry, but she merely laughed, so I really lost my temper." When contacted Himani said, "I was only teasing Karan. Karan didn't know that I had a rakhi in my pocket. He was shocked and clueless when I ran behind him with a rakhi as the entire unit looked on. Finally, he got upset and began yelling at me." Apparently, there was a time when Himani was completely smitten by Karan and had a massive crush on him. So we wonder how she suddenly thought of tying a rakhi on him. (Mona Singh will be glad, we're sure!) Why do people make a mockery of an important festival like Raksha Bandhan. Rakhi is between Bro and Sis period.I am impressed by Karan ...Hats off to Karan for standing by his decision. 👏👏

These people just love to come in front of the Media and then blame Media for gossips. Why would Himani ask MM publicly for tying Rakhi????? I understand, may be she is only child but she must have cousins who she can tie a rakhi. Why make news with co-host????

On a more serious note, I think it was rather childish of Himani to insist on it. All this brothering and sistering business undermines thr importance of healthy friendship among males and females. But Ko's reaction was too extreme. He could have firmly told her that he doesn't believe in all this, and left it at that. Why create a scene on the sets?

I'm glad Karan stood by his decision and refused - good for him.

How childish of Himani to chase him around the sets and insist. Even if it was only to tease - I think that once he refused she should have given up on it - Its her workplace for heaven's sake! And anyway, Raksha Bandhan is a special day shared between siblings and it is not something to make a joke of.
