OUTSIDE PURAB'S HOUSE
Today's episode starts with Jassi still bewildered and shocked by Purab's Bhagmati Act (Musafir hoon yaroon; na ghar hai, na thikana; bass chalte jaana hai; bass Mauritius tak chalte jaana). One of the workmen emptying Purab's house asks Jassi if she is alright. Jassi thinks to herself that there are days when strangers come to your aid while your own close friends ditch you and run away. Why did Purab do this to me, just 2 days before our engagement, she wonders (inn writers ka Maths bhi – Purab's party took place 2 days before the engagement – then the GM warehouse caught fire, Minakshi's contract was turned down and again accepted by Jassi, and still 2 days are left for the engagement??????😕) Anyways…..
WALIA HOUSE
Preparations are in full swing for the engagement. Rangoli is being made, Billo papaji is fiddling with a lampshade and bebe is busy praising Purab. Papaji tells her that she was getting so excited, as though she was getting married, not Jassi. Bebe says that if she did not have one foot in the grave, she would have definitely married Purab. (bebe, I'm sure a lot of auntijis here think the same about Armaan Sir😳😉).
Bebe then goes outside to give some pink colour to the girls making rangoli, when we hear her scream and papaji rushes outside.
Jassi comes home but doesn't know how to break the news to her family. She sees a doctor giving an injection to bebe. He says that bebe had very high bp and should be kept away from all excitement. Jassi sees her in this condition and is unable to tell her family about Purab's disappearance. Bebe pats Jassi on her head and says that she will be the one to dance the most at her engagement (yo bebe, abhi toh aap jawaan ho!!!👍🏼).
Jassi is back to writing her diary. She is heart-broken that even Purab left her in the lurch like this (Arre Jassi – ruk jaana nahin, tu kahin haar ke; gulmohur mein chalke milengi baahe Armaan ki, O Jassi, O Jassi…😳).
OUTSIDE PURAB'S HOUSE
Naazneen and Bindiya are dressed like detectives – black caps, black trousers, black leather jacket and of course black glasses, even though it is the middle of the night.😆 (Do jasoos kare mehsoos yey Minakshi/ Purab bare kharaab hein…😆) They are about to enter Purab's house where they get arrested by the police.
NEXT DAY GULMOHUR
The insurance guy is speaking to Aryan and informs him that GM's insurance had lapsed and in spite of sending 2 reminders, the CEO had failed to renew the policy. Aryan is very pleased with this news as it means another problem for Jassi (Aryan mera naam; CEOs ki chutti karna mera kaam; Armaan, Raj, Jassi; Sabhi hein mujhse pareshaan)😉.
Jassi goes to her room, walking mechanically as her mind is elsewhere – Purab's letter and Minakshi's words are still echoing in her brains.😭
The camera now zooms in on Armaan – he looks like a breath of fresh air in his cool blue ice mint shirt and tie.😳 He calls up Jassi and asks her what she wants for her engagement - "Do you want a traditional gift or something else? And don't be shy. Yey sharmana- varmana tum Purab ke saath karma. Ok do one thing, ask Purab and tell me what I should buy for the 2 of you." Jassi does not know what to say and hangs up.
Just then Veeru comes and tells Jassi that Bindiya and Nazneen were in police lockup all night. The peon comes right then (I wonder if he was Sharmi's Ram Singh????)😆 and asks Jassi whether she had signed the papers. Jassi signs the cheque without reading it and goes to talk to the police. She tells them that Bindiya and Nazneen work for GM and were innocent. Jassi then asks them who they were spying on. Bindiya lies to Jassi and says that they were spying on her husband.
Aryan Seth now gets a call from one of GMs suppliers that the cheque that Jassi had just signed had bounced and he would take legal action against her (someone tell me the name of this bank that clears a cheque for 2 and a half crores within minutes. |I will also open an account there!!!😉). Aryan is very pleased with the news and tells the supplier to go ahead and file a case against Miss Jasmeet Walia.
