JandA are completely lost in each other as they drive home from Gulmohur, late at night, after they have cleared up all misunderstandings about Candy. Jassi sighs and puts her head on his shoulder. He puts his arm around her for a moment, then quickly removes it to change gears. She puts on the radio; the car fills with the strains of "O humdum suniyo re" from Saathiya.
Armaan abruptly halts the car by the roadside. Jassi looks inquiringly at him. "Kya hua…sab theek hai na?"
He says nothing, but puts the radio at full volume and jumps out of the car. Then he goes round to the passenger side and pulls her out.
Jassi: Armaan….yeh tum kya…..
Armu: (putting his finger to her lips) Ssh! Kuch mat kaho Jassi…..aaj main bahut khush hun…itna khush ki main dance karna chahta hun….
And they start jamming like a couple of teenagers, giggling and singing along, Jassi whirling and falling into his arms, Armu lifting her impulsively and then groaning and setting her down again. The song ends and they fall over each other, laughing.😳😳😳
Just then Jassi sees a beam of light in the distance, moving towards them. She grabs Armu's shirt. "Armaan…koi aa raha hai! Hume aise dekh kar log hasenge….chalo waapas!"
Armu: Aww Jassi….hanste hai toh hansne do na….!
But she won't hear of it, and drags him back. He plonks himself down in front of the wheel and stares puppy-doggishly at her.😳 She grins and turns his face towards the road. He sighs, starts up the car, and drives them both back home.
Next morning:
Candy is bidding everyone goodbye at the airport. Ila complains, "This is not done Candy….tum itni jaldi waapas ja rahi ho….thode din toh ruk jaati…"
Candy: Aunty, I really wanted to stay on, lekin Celestial waapas jaa kar ye deal complete karna bhi bahut zaroori hai…I promise ki main next time, bahut dino ke liye aaungi….aur tab kisi ko pareshan bhi nahin karungi….
Ila: Pareshan toh tumne hume iss baar bhi nahin kiya beta…you are always welcome at our house….
Candy: (giving Jassi a sly wink) No I mean…..agar mere yahan hone se kisi ko glati se bhi pareshaani hui ho, toh I'm sorry…😛
Ila protests politely, while Jassi first glares at Candy and then grins and steps forward to hug her. Candy whispers, "Jassi….sure tum naaraaz nahin ho?"
Jassi: Haan baba….take care, best of luck, aur jaldi waapas aana!
After the others have exchanged goodbyes with her, Candy gives a last wave before walking towards the tarmac.
When they get home, the sun is still not very high.
Ila heaves a sigh of relief. "Thank God aaj Saturday hai….tum dono ko kum se kum Gulmohur toh nahin jaana…..kal raat itna late soye ho, jao jaake rest kar lo…."
They shuffle off obediently. Vedika is asleep on the bed while Ashish is curled up in his crib. JandA lean over Vedika; Jassi gently strokes her head. The child's eyes fly open.
"Good morning Mamma Papa….Mamma, mujhe school ke liye ready kar do!"
Armu gently runs his hand over her forehead. "Beta aaj Saturday hai….so no school….go back to sleep…"
But Vedika won't hear of it and sits up. "Nahin….aaj mujhe school jaana hai…sports practice hai!"
Jassi: Toh yeh tumne pehle kyun nahin bataya?
Vedika: (wide-eyed) Main bhool gayi…sorry Mamma!
Jassi: (smiling) Koi baat nahin…chalo, main tumhe ready kar deti hoon….
Armu: Nahin Jassi…tum rest karo, main Vedika ko ready karta hun…
Jassi: Tum ready karoge? Par tumhe bhi toh rest ki zaroorat hai…
Armu: (holding up a finger) No arguments! Aaj main Papa hone ki duty karunga….aur hum apni little princess ko bahut acchi tareeke se ready karenge…hain na?
He picks up Vedika and carries her off, just as Ashish wakes and starts bawling at the top of his lungs. Jassi goes "Oh Oh" and rushes off to soothe him. She has just managed to rock him to peace when Armu enters, carrying Vedika on his shoulder. He sets her proudly down before Jassi. "Dekho!"
Jassi takes one look and starts giggling. "Armaan! Tumne vedika ko ulti shirt pehnaa di hai….buttons peeche nahin aage hone chahiye!"😆😆
Armu looks embarrassed while Vedika squirms. "Mamma….ab aap hi mujhe ready kar do na…der ho rahi hai!"
Jassi: Theek hai beta….Armaan, tum Ashish ko sambhaalo…
He quietly takes the baby from her, as she rushes off with her daughter. When they are out of earshot, Armu murmurs to his little son, "At least maine koshish toh ki na! Lekin tum…tum toh good baby hoge na…..Mamma ki madad karoge…aur kabhi bhi shirt ulti nahin pehnaooge…right?My smart son!"
Ashish coos and winks at him.😛
