Candy jumps when a furious Jassi storms out of the inner office. Releasing Armaan, she stares blankly at her. Armaan also swings around and looks completely at a loss.
Jassi looks right through Candy, marches up to Armaan and hisses, "Tum mujhe bata sakte ho…ki tum dono iss waqt yahaan kya kar rahe ho?"
Candy: (spluttering) J..Jassi….I can explain…..
Jassi: (icily) I'm not talking to you, Candy! (fixes her gaze on Armaan) Koi jawaab hai tumhare paas?
Armu looks at her for a long moment, then nods. "Haan….yeh hai mera jawaab!"
He picks up a file and hands it over to Jassi, who momentarily gets an awful dream of opening it and finding divorce papers inside. With trembling fingers, she turns the cover. It takes her blurred vision a few moments to read the first page. Then slowly, wonderingly, she turns one page after another. Finally she lifts her head and stares blankly at Armaan.
Jassi: Armaan…yeh toh….
Armaan: Haan Jassi…yeh Gulmohur aur Celestial International ki distribution deal ke papers hai…..ab hamare stores Canada mein bhi honge Jassi! We are going international!😛
Jassi: Lekin….tum log….
Candy finally manages to speak. "Jassi, main aur Armaan yahaan issi deal ki papers sign karne aaye the!"
Armu: (smiling) Main soch raha tha ki tumhe kuch pata nahin chalne doonga…aur achanak tumhe yeh surprise doonga….par tumne toh mujhe hi surprise kar diya!
Candy explains that she is the Business Operations Head of Celestial International, Canada's leading fashion brand. She was given the responsibility of tying up with a leading Indian fashion house. Candy's first choice was Gulmohur, her childhood friend's company. That was the reason why she had come to India. Armaan had warned her to keep this deal a secret, and no one knew except Angel, who had overheard them talking on the phone. For the last two days they had been running around getting the papers ready, as Candy had to positively complete the deal before her deadline. The papers had been prepared only that afternoon and Candy had immediately phoned Armaan to get ready to sign. The rest….Jassi already knew.😃
Armaan stands grinning as she finishes her explanation. "Uss din shopping ke bahane hm nikle, aur poora din iske legal advisor ke paas baithe rahe…ek pen tak nahin khareeda hamne!"😆
Jassi manages to stammer, "Lekin…….wo sab…dinner….dance karna…" Then she stops, embarrassed.
But Armaan understands. Tenderly taking her shoulders, he turns her to him. "Jassi", he says impishly, "yaad hai uss din party mein tumne kya kaha tha? Ki tum insecure nahin ho, jealous nahin ho😉….main bas dekhna chahta tha kit um kitna sach bol rahi ho…bechari Candy ne sab mere kehna pe kiya….!"
Jassi's hackles rise again. "Not fair, Armaan Suri! Tum jaan-boojh kar aisa drama karoge toh mujhe darr nahin lagega? Jaante ho, main do din se theek se so bhi nahin payi!"
Candy: That reminds me….mujhe ghar jaake apni beauty sleep leni chahiye…kal subah ki flight se mujhe Vancouver waapas lautna hai…inn papers ke saath….
Jassi: (taking her hand impulsively) Arre…..itni jaldi…. (abashedly) mujhe toh tumhe sorry kehne ka muaka bhi nahin mila…pata nahin kya-kya soch liya maine….
Candy: (placing her hand on Jassi's ) It's okay….sorry toh mujhe tumse kehna chahiye…..agar Armaan mera itna old friend na hota, toh main kabhi uski ye baat nahin maanti…..seriously Jassi….4 saal ke age mein mujhe ispe crush tha…aur maine socha tha ki main Armaan se shaadi karungi….but now I'm just thankful ki maine jaldi hi apna mind change kar liya…..hats off to you! (grins) Tum hi isse handle kar sakti ho!
Armu gives her a mock glare. She hugs them both and tells them that she must go home and pack, and grab a little rest; but that she will surely return to India soon and spend more time with them.
After she leaves, Jassi grabs Armaan's collar. "I hate you, Armaan Suri!"
Armu gives her a killer look. "Agar hate karna ka tumhara yahi andaaz hai….go ahead and hate me Jassi!"😛
She blushes and backs away. Armaan follows her into her old cabin, where she is staring wistfully at the old files, desk and computer. He gently holds her shoulders from behind and snuggles up.
Jassi: (sighing) Wo bhi kya din the na Armaan…..tum wahaan baahar, pata nahin kis Tina, Nina aur Kareena ke saath flirt kar rahe hote the…aur main yahaan baith kar, tumhare sapne dekh rahi hoti thi…..
He slowly comes in front of her. Taking her chin gently, he gazes into her limpid eyes.
Armu: Jassi…..
Jassi: Hmmm…?
Armu: Itna time ho gaya ….tumne mujhe "Armaan Sir" keh kar nahin bulaya!
Jassi goes "tch tch". Armu pouts like a schoolboy who has been refused a lollipop.😳
Jassi: Ab tumhe kya ho gaya….khud hi toh kehte the, ki mujhe "Armaan" keh ke bulao..!
Flashback: The car scene after the Jessica trial, where he teaches her not to call him "Armaan Sir."😳😳😳
Armu: (sulkily) Haan lekin….kabhi-kabhi toh keh sakti ho….for old times sake!
Jassi: (winking) Too late Armaan Suri….ab toh mujhe aadat pad chuki hai…. (starts laughing)
He stares at her, but does not join in her giggles. Abruptly, she finds herself pinned against the wall, Armu leaning over her. Her laugh recedes and she stammers, "Armaan….kya..?"
Armu: (huskily) Apni aadat badlo Jassi…!
Jassi: (trembling but still resistant) No…!
Armu: (closing in on her) Badlo na Jassi…..
Jassi:(shivering) No Armaan….
He grabs her face and gives her his most seductive look. Suddenly, she seems to have transformed into the Jassi of yore, who crumbled at the mere proximity of Armaan. 😍
As he brings his face closer to hers, she gasps, "Armaan sir!" and throws herself into his arms. He holds her searingly against him, burying his face in her hair. Then, slowly, he pulls away and gazes full into her eyes. They are full of innocent desire. Cupping her face in his hands, he draws closer and claims her lips. The camera fades away discreetly, leaving them to enjoy their rediscovery of each other. ❤️
