First of all, Blyty, Thank you SO much for this wonderful thread and the work you put in to bringing this to us! Also thanks to Tanny and Anu for their help.
For most of you, May 4th is or has already come to an end, but for me, its merely just begun. Sorry for my late arrival, but as promised, I am here.
JJKN led me to IF...as many of you know I missed a good 2/3 of the show due to college, but once I got a chance to really start watching it every day, I decided to see if I could find old episodes posted online - and a simple google search led me to your doorstep.
For the last 11 month stretch of the show, I shared the laughter, pain, tears, hatred, and love of the wonderful characters of this show, with my beautiful JJKN family.
I still remember how upset we were when the original story wasn't followed, how heartbroken we were when JandA marriage did not take place as we had hoped it would. I also remember how irritated we were through the last 4-6 months of the show when new characters were introduced just to drag the plot. But no matter what, we continued to travel on this beautiful journey with our beloved Jassi and her Armaan Sir. And along the way, we made lifelong friends.
Many of those friends are now traveling with me on another journey, a very different journey, but an equally beautiful one - the journey of Kaajjal and her Dev Sir.
It is due to this new journey that over the past 8 months, I have been unable to stop and reflect upon the first. And for this, I would like to apologize to you all. In times when this forum was on the verge of being archived, it was all of you who fought for its existence. You needed your entire family there with you during that, and I couldn't be there. And it is now because of all of you that I am able to come back and re-live my memories of JandA, and also experience all the wonderful moments that I initially missed out on.
Thank you, for keeping JJKN alive. Thank you for your dedication and hard work. Thank you for letting me at last, share your beloved memories of this wonderful, ground breaking, breathtaking story. I am delighted today to be able to go through the threads that I missed out on - the memories you shared before I found you. This is truly a wonderful gift.
Its been 1 year since our beloved Jassi and Armaan Sir along with their family and friends said goodbye, but it seems like only yesterday. I still remember the last episode and how emotional of a time it was. JJKN will stay with me forever, as will all of you.
Again, Thank you. It feels great to be back, to relive the cherished moments with you all.
Love,
~Payal
