There is dead silence in the interrogation room as Shyam Sundar finishes telling how he was witness to CJ killing Samar in cold blood. Then ACP Pradyuman speaks,
"Uske baad…..tumne kya kiya?"
SS: (numbly) Uske baad? Uske baad main shayad ghanto tak, ussi bathroom mein chhupa raha. Mera dimaag kaam nahin kar raha tha…..mujhe kuch mehsoos nahin ho raha tha…..siwa iss darr ke, ki agar kisi ne mujhe dekh liya toh main bhi nahin bachunga…….
Phir, thodi der baad, maine dekha ki wo dono uss aadmi ki….ki body ko wahaan se kahin aur le ja rahe the…..wo usse kheench ke hotel ke bahar le gaye aur shayad car mein rakh diya…kyunki uske baad mujhe car start karne aur wahaan se jaane ki awaaz aayi……jaise hi mujhe yakeen hua ki wo log ja chuke hai, main ussi emergency exit se bahaar nikla aur ghar ki taraf bhaag nikla…..
Neha abruptly leaves the room. Jassi rushes after her. Raj stares helplessly after them. Armaan puts his hand on his shoulder.
Jassi looks through the corridors of CID HQ, looking very worried. Finally she finds Neha crouching in a corner of the ladies' room, sobbing her heart out. Jassi kneels down and puts her arm around her. Neha shakes it off. "Mat chuo mujhe Jassi….main ek khooni ki biwi hoon…..!!"
Jassi: (helplessly) Nahin Neha….yeh sach nahin hai…..
Neha: (vehemently) Yahi sach hai!! Mere pati ne CJ ke jurm mein uske saath diya….ek begunaah ko marne mein uski madad ki….aur wo bhi tab, jab main apne hone wale bacche ke liye acche sanskaaron ki prarthana kar rahi thi? Yahi sanskar mile hai meri beti ko? Jassi, jab Nikki ko pata chalega ki uske pita ne kya kiya hai, toh wo kabhi sir utha kar jee payegi?
Jassi: (desperately) Neha, main jaanti hun ki Anuj ne theek nahin kiya….lekin kabhi-kabhi insaan ka darr uski sochne ki taaqat ko khatm kar deta hai….CJ ne Anuj ko tumhara naam leke daraya tha…isliye usne iasa hone diya…..lekin tum khud ko kyun dosh de rahi ho? Tumne toh koi gunaah nahin kiya…..aur ab tum apne aur Nikki ke liye nayi raah chun sakti ho…ateet ko peeche chod sakti ho…..
Neha wipes her tears and says in a firm voice. "Jo bhi ho…..ab Samar Oberoi ka murder solve ho chuka hai….CJ ko uski sazaa bhi mil jayegi….lekin mere husband ke murder ki sazaa usse mile na mile, I don't care….unhone jo kiya, uske anjaam unhe mil gaya!"
Jassi: Nehaaaa…….baat anjaam ki nahin, insaaf ki hai….jisne jo jurm kiya, usse uski sazaa toh milni chahiye…..tum apne ateet ko peeche chodna chahti ho na? Yeh tab tak nahin ho sakta jab tak tum inn pichli saari problems ko solve na kar lo…..
After some more persuading, Jassi manages to bring back Neha into the interrogation room, where ACP is telling SS sternly, "Tumne yes ab baatein police ko kyun nahin batayi?"
SS: Main darr gaya tha sa'ab….mujhe laga, ki agar CJ apne bhai ke saath aisa kar sakta hai, toh mujhe toh chodega nahin…..aur uske baad, Anuj Shastri ne mujhe naukri se jaane ko keh diya….. main naukri ki talaash mein Mumbai aa gaya….aur wo baat wahin chod aaya…..
ACP: Tum toh chod aaye….lekin kanoon uss mujrim ko nahin chodega…jaante ho usne uske baad kitne aur gunaah kiye hai? Agar tum uss waqt police ki madad karte, toh kai aur jurm hone se ruk jaate….
SS hangs down his head.
ACP insists that he must repeat his testimony in court so they can nail CJ. He agrees, looking rather subdued. Then Raj says that they still have no clue about the other murder—Anuj Shastri's.
ACP: Hmmm…. (nods) ….lekin agar murder CJ ne hi kiya hai, toh Anuj hastri ko marne ka uske paas bahut achcha motive tha…..Mrs. Shastri… (turns to Neha) ….kya aapko kabhi laga ki aapke husband, kisi ko blackmail kar rahe the?
Neha says she has no idea, but yes, her husband did have large amounts of money deposited into his bank account which he refused to explain to her. It might be possible that he was blackmailing CJ, and when things got out of hand, CJ decided to finish him once and for all.
Armaan: I'm sure Anuj ko bhi CJ ne maara hai….lekin hamare paas na koi saboot hai na witness….
ACP: (thoughtfully) Mere paas ek plan hai….jisse hum shayad usse pakad sake….
They all lean towards him as he quietly outlines his plan.
Tomorrow: The plan is executed
