"Jassi broke all rules and changed the trend of Indian television. It was definitely challenging to play a nerd - someone who is gawky with thick glasses and braces. Initially, I was quite apprehensive and shy because you generally find the protagonist to be glamorous and pretty. And to make public appearances looking like a geek was quite difficult. But once I realised that people liked me, I started enjoying the character. I actually lived the character for two years. It was amazing to see kids relate to me as Jassi. She had become a cult."
