Awww Neelam Di, so true!

Luckily, i have had a reasonable share of outdoor activities; having parents who love a change of scenery evry once in a while helps! AS a kid, i was much more in touch with nature than i am now. The usual culprits__ TV and Internet.

But NCC really helped me. we had to live in camps where there were no proper toilets, we had to fetch water in buckets, sleep on the floor and walk through mud and overgrown grass. And what do you know, we loved evry bit of it!!

Yesssssss, Blyton NCC reminded me of my GIRL GUIDE days. That was so much fun. And another thing may be this young generation kids don't get to see is the PARADE on Jan 26th and Aug 15th. WOW, I used to have my knees injured by falling so many times in Mud or rain or over the stones but still we used to look forward to these special events.

You know Moni what other things I miss other than the above mentioned: In summer holidays, playing DOLL DOLL, DOCTOR DOCTOR or TEACHER TEACHER😆 That was so much fun. Then if we were bored from this, we will go in the playground and play "STEP GAME"(We called it Stepoo😆) or KHO KHO or Cricket. Those were the fun days we had without Cell phones, TV, internet, computer, scooters or cars. I think we used to Bike or walk for at least15-20 kilometer a day. Now my 17 years old son doesn't want to walk to a corner store to buy a bag of milk. He wants the car keys for half kilometer distance. What a change in technology and Thinking both with just ONE GENERATION GAP.😆

wow u ppl had such amazing experiences, i am jealous. Kash I had such a beautiful childhood. All i remember is going to school, then comig back home and then running back to coachings. Then when i returned home all tired and drowsy I found the empty room, and a servant to inform me that my parents would be late for home.

There were times when i saw young boys and girls eating pani puris by the road side, kids accomapanying their parents to the candy stalls, and i enjoyed staring at them, hoping that some day or the other my mom and dad would come home early and take me for a ride which actually never happed. My childhood was always painful for me and now i am a big girl. I can go for pani puris all alone, still then i miss my childhood which cud have been more beautiful like u all had.
