I'm not blaming you for LIKING apu.....i dont have a problem with whom you love or whom you dont......its afterall your life...I tried debating as it seemed just too far fetched that you fell in love with apu after watching pardes, and you call it real love which is steadfast and everlasting....that's it....i'm not enforcing anything on you..and if you think a debate means enforcment, i cant help you..... 😭

YOU CANNOT LOVE A PERSON WHOM YOU HAVE NEVER MET, OR WHOM YOU DONT KNOW......

so is apu ether😆😆..so are you trying to sell that you have imagined him to be mr.goody two shoes, and thus you love him...that's as ludicrous as my imagining osama bin laden to be a saint and my inevitable falling in love with him😆...OK, its your hallucination...true love happens only once piyu..now that you claim you truly love apu, that means you cant "love" anyone else in your life....right???coz that's what "LOVE" means

bye bye...but you'll will realize soon 😃

Hey guys! You all are having a blast here with Armaan. I will join in too. I love Armaan. I would rather have had a husband like Armaan, a casanova who can change for the love of Jassi. That is what makes him loveable. My ex had no vices, but he was an imposter with so many insecurities and complexes that he decided to ruin someone's life in order to proove what pure gold he is. He might have stayed single rather than lie about how good he was so that he could trap someone into marriage. Now this is something personal and many of you can think no one knows me or my faults. I might even be biased, although I think that I was very neutral even though I was losing everything when my divorce took palce. I tried to think from everyone's perspective which no one else involved in it did. My ex had a best friend who described him as "unpolished diamond." She also said to me that she use to tell him that "you come to our house and we just have to endure you and we do so, but your wife is going to suffer you." Now is that an unpolished diamond or as my best friend calls him "koyla?" Armaan on other hand was unpolished diamond who was polished to perfection by Jassi's love. And we love that man. We all love ourselves and so we love what we like dearly. Armaan is a "Khayaal" that we like and so we love him. Armaan is appealing to many, not merely because of his looks but because of the strength of his character. He will do anything for the woman he loves. God forbid if the accident that ruins his face does happen, we will still love him. If anything happens to AA believe it, it will effect me, it will be a personal loss and it won't lessen whatever I feel for him. You might have been infatuated by him. Trust me girls you will be better off with a man whose vices and faults are known to all rather than the supposed husband materials. Ok, on a lighter note why did you pick an African tribals picture to compare. That is discrimination. You could have picked up Johnny Lever's picture or any other comedian's picture for the comparison 😆 and it would be fair. Ok, back to the discussion, the tribal in the picture is not a fair comaprison. We have seen Armaan for the last 2 1/2 years or so. This is picture picked just to provoke repulsiveness. Except for the picture we don't have a name to put to it, no character to associate it with. And so sweet little piyu had to step back. There are black men which are handsome and good-looking. I'm sure if one of those were to play Armaan, they would be loved equally. Like how many of us like Eddie Murphie? I enjoy all of his movies and when I want a good laugh I pick up one of his. But I don't love him like I do love Armaan. I don't like Tom Cruise the same. I do like Tom Cruise, but its no the same. It come no where close to how much I like Eddie Murphy or the way I love Armaan. I like this thread, enjoyed myself just like the good old days.

its not about loving armaan, a character whom we know to the T as we see him on TV everyday and there's nothing more to his character than what we see....we know armaan in and out, but we dont know apu...we can love armaan, about whom we know everythign about, but not apu, about whom we dont anything

Armaan is a "Khayaal" that we like and so we love him. Armaan is appealing to many, not merely because of his looks but because of the strength of his character. He will do anything for the woman he loves.

ahhhhh di, you are confusing between armaan and apu......we didnt love armaan for his looks alone..but we DO love apu only because he played armaan...we dont know a thing about apurva agnihorti...we dont know whether apu would be as resilient as armaan that he can even rise after hitting the nadir of his life....apu's ex avantika/anamika ditched him..he didnt pursue her, unlike armaan......that's the thing di...we KNOW armaan, we DONT KNOW apurva

God forbid if the accident that ruins his face does happen, we will still love him. If anything happens to AA believe it, it will effect me, it will be a personal loss and it won't lessen whatever I feel for him. You might have been infatuated by him. yes, we all will feed bad, we would sympathise, but that wouldnt mean we would LOVE him...there's a slight difference between spousal love, and love for the children..the word LOVE can be used in any context...armaan and jassi epitomized love, even billo loved jassi, but that was a different kind of love...we can "love "apu meaning we can be very fond of him just as billo was fond of jassi...that's plain love...but the love anu is talking about borderlines on obsession...that's dangerous.....and that borderline isnt hard to define..fondness is different from OBSESSION..

Ok, on a lighter note why did you pick an African tribals picture to compare. That is discrimination. You could have picked up Johnny Lever's picture or any other comedian's picture for the comparison 😆 and it would be fair.

LOLLLLLLLL...ITS 3:15 am here..and i couldnt think of a funner face than the native african tribals😆

Ok, back to the discussion, the tribal in the picture is not a fair comaprison. We have seen Armaan for the last 2 1/2 years or so. This is picture picked just to provoke repulsiveness. Except for the picture we don't have a name to put to it, no character to associate it with.

DI, you have totally misunderstood me..we know armaan in and out, but do we know apurva..apurva is not armaan....ananya said that she fell in love with apurva at first sight, and she said that she didnt fall for his looks..that's why i juxtaposed those pictures and asked her whether she would have loved apu at first sight if he had looked bad

And so sweet little piyu had to step back. There are black men which are handsome and good-looking. I'm sure if one of those were to play Armaan, they would be loved equally. Like how many of us like Eddie Murphie? I enjoy all of his movies and when I want a good laugh I pick up one of his. But I don't love him like I do love Armaan.

no di, even if armaan was played by a not so good lookign hero like samir soni, i wouldnt have loved the character any less.....but the point was , will a brown/wheatish girl fall for a black negro at first sight...NO..but she woudl fall for a handsome hunk like apu...I can to some extent understand people who say they love apu because they love armaan..but plainly saying that i loved rajeev, not for his looks, and without knowing a trifle about him, sounds far fetched

I need to edit it and you will know what I edited as it will be in this color.

There is defense mechanism called introjection. We identify ourselves with the television characters. Introjection is what sells soaps and is the reason why we all and even you, my dear Buffie watched JJKN and drooled over Armaan even though you feel ashamed of it today. As I said Armaan is a khayaal that many like Apurva, Priya, myself like and so we love him. Since Armaan was palyed by Apurva, people will love him as much. That is what introjection is. I don't think Apurva is anywhere close to borderline obsession. She is not stalking his house, out to kill his wife or even bothering him in anyway. He is not even aware of her existence except that he has many fans out there. So this is not borderline personality or obsession. Its introjection and perfectly fine. There is no need to debate or question our imagination 😆 . You don't like him anymore, so you don't have to love him 😃 Girls get a goodnight's rest.
