i've asked some of the brightest people i know..they all said
they'd do the same, write a program. but i need to get to a few more
people..methinks i know someone who just might know the answer 😛

so there ARE two ways of going about this problem without
writing a program 😃

brute force 😈

first, eliminate all the 'species' of numbers that have 0s in them..

a) 10..20..30..the sum of these would be

10+20..9990 = 10(1+2+3..999) = 10(999x998/2) *sum of first N natural
numbers*

now you have to replace them with 1+2+3..999

b) 101+102+..

alternatively, if, unlike myself, you remember your combinations and
permutations theory, you can sit and play with them.. 😛 😳
