Apoorva Agnihotri could not ask for more. A debut film with someone like Subhash Ghai, an actress as pretty as Mahima Choudhari and a co-star like Shahrukh Khan. It was like a dream come true for the young man who was a cinema buff and had dreams of entering filmdom.

His first film 'Pardes' became a super hit film and he should have been the overnight star. But that did not happen and he had to content himself with a nomination of Best Supporting Actor in 1997's Lux Zee Cine Award. Anyway, his performance was appreciated.

He should have been offered many more films with his beautiful co-star but that was not in the writing. Nonetheless. But this handsome newcomer has the ability to jump ahead of many of his counterparts in the industry.
