Ya,I think Purab will come back as Jassi's friend.Maybe what they will show is that Purab repents what he did and apologises to Jassi and she really forgives him and also confides she is not really angry with him because she never really loved him and she too was at fault in agreeing to marry him.They make up and become really good friends and then when Armaan sees them together,his insecurities over loosing Jassi will magnify.I think that Purab will act as a catalyst in bringing Armaan & Jassi together.

Though keeping Spike's pov in mind,they might also show him in the negative though it wouldn't really make sense.

However,one thing is sure that there is going to be a definite twist in the stoty.
