I have been thinking if Sid is faking, then he might have told the woman and Pinto to not reveal his identity to anyone. If you think about Pinto was looking a bit upset seeing Roshni leaving the garage sad. Sid must be thinking of a way to spoil Shabnam's plan and save his family. Waiting for his dhamaka and how Shabnam is exposed and destroyed...I think once he gets inside the Patel household, his plan will come into serious motion.
You can tell that Sid had this looks when he sees Roshni crying. In some scenes he had this look like he is saying in his head "forgive me Roshni."
