New SS Broken Hearts

Nachiket and Ragini had been married for a 18 months they had a little baby Ranbir who was eight months old he was a honeymoon baby. Ragini had just found out she was expecting again she was three months pregnant.

Three months later
Nachiket had been away to a doctors conference for a week he was due back today ragini had missed him she was tired and very emotional at the moment looking after ranbir and being 6 months pregnant was not easy.

Morning 6am
Ragini had just got up to feed ranbir who had just woken up and was crying she picked him up and kissed him and got the bottle and was feeding him with her back turned to the door when she heard footsteps he was back nachiket put his bags down and walked towards her he sat down next to her and kissed her on her neck "hello sweetheart how are u?" She looked at him "i am fine thank how are u?" "Did u miss me ragini" "no" " what" "shall i go back" "i didn't mean it like that i mean i didn't have a chance to miss u ranbir and this baby have kept me busy" he looked at her he knew she was sturggling he pushed her hair back behind her ear and and kissed her cheek "i know i am sorry i had to go away but i promise i am here now and not going anywhere do u want breakfast" "yes please" "ok"

Kitchen
Ragini walked in and nachiket was making breakfast "what u doing" "making breakfast" "nachiket i thought sunny tai was making it" "leave i will do it" "no ragini sit down u need to rest" nachiket finished making breakfast they had it "it was lovely nachiket" suddenly they heard ranbir cry "i will go" nachiket said.

Living room
Ragini was sat down when nachiket came in with ranbir in his arms he had stopped crying "nachiket put him down if he asleep" "i want to hold him for a bit i have missed him so much. "U ok ragini u look worried" "i have not felt the baby move since this morning nachiket" he sat down next to her and put his hand on her stomach "was the scan ok any problems" "no everything was fine" "baby is probably asleep ragini nothing to worry about"

Evening 6pm
Ragini was still worried she had not felt the baby move all day nachiket had rang the gynae doctor and she had said it was normal for it to happen sometimes. Ragini went to the bathroom and oh god she was bleeding she got up and went into the bedroom and sat on the bed she shouted for nachiket sunny tai came running "get nachiket quickly" sunny tai ran to the study "saab ragini is calling u quickly"

Bedroom
Nachiket came running "nachiket i can't feel the baby and now i am bleeding" he knew something was wrong he picked her up and took her to hospital.

Hospital
Ragini and nachiket were waiting for the doctor. Ragini was on the bed nachiket sat by her side holding her hand. The doctor came in ragini told her what had happened she started the scan. "Doctor whats wrong nachiket asked she looked at him i need to speak to u outside please mr khanna.

Outside the room
"Whats wrong doctor" "i am sorry mr khanna but there is no heartbeat on the scan" " what do u mean" he knew what she meant but he could not believe it "i am sorry but ur baby has died" nachiket stood there in shock their baby was no more "but why and how ragini was fine till today" "sometimes these things happen and we have no explaination i am sorry mr khanna very sorry do u want me to tell ur wife" "no i will do it" how was he going to tell ragini their baby was no more how he wiped his tears and went in.

Raginis room
Nachiket walked in and sat down "nachiket whats the doctor said is the baby ok" "ragini he said he stopped he didn't have the courage to do this. "Nachiket whats wrong please tell me" he held her hand "ragini our baby died" she pulled her hand back and looked at him what was he saying "no u are lieing nachiket our baby is fine" he looked at her "i am sorry ragini but this is the truth" he could not stop his tears" she looked at him in disbelief he shook her "ragini" she slapped him "u are lieing my baby is fine" he pulled her into a hug she was crying screaming in agony and hitting nachiket reapeatly in his chest but all he could do was hold her.

He sat there holding ragini who was sobbing in his arms their grief was overwhelming. When the doctor came in she needed to speak to them about the delivery of the baby ragini was in no state to listen or understand anything neither was nachiket but someone had to the doctor explained everything to nachiket then the nurse came back with medicine. "Ragini here take this medicine please" she sat up nachiket gave her the water and the medicine "how long nachiket" "the doctor said it will start working within the hour" he sat down next to her and just held her there was no words.

2 hours later
Ragini was still in nachikets arms when she winced in pain "ragini" the contractions had started nachiket shouted for the nurse who came and the doctor "mr khanna u need to leave now" he looked at ragini and she just grabbed his hand "no i am staying with my wife" he held her hand while she gave birth to their stillborn baby boy.

Morning 7am
It been a few hours since ragini had given birth to their stillborn baby she had finally fallen asleep hour ago. Nachiket was beside her he could not sleep he had just rung maa and dimpy to tell what had happened he was standing next to the window he eyes stinging with his tears when he heard "nachiket" "i am here ragini" he wiped his tears and went and sat next to her "nachiket i want to see our baby please" "ragini why" "i want to say a proper goodbye to him please" "ok i will ask the nurses" he came back they are bringing him. The nurse came in with their baby boy and handed him to ragini who held her son "look nachiket he is beautiful" nachiket came and sat down next to her "he is ragini look he has my nose" "beta maa and papa love u soo much and we will never forget u saying his she kissed him on his forehead and so did nachiket and handed their baby boy back to the nurse. Ragini was sobbing nachiket just held her " i am sorry nachiket i couldn't protect our baby i lost him" he broke the hug and cupped her face "never say sorry again this is not ur fault ok this happened i don't know why but i know 1000% that it was not ur fault ragini this baby was not in our kismat ok" saying this he kissed her on the forehead and hugged her.

Home 12pm
Ragini had been discharged home she was sitting in the living room her mum and sunny tai and dimpy was there nachiket,karan and RK had gone to bury Rishi that was the name they had given him. The door opened and nachiket,karan and RK walked in and sat down nachiket did not he walked straight to his room.

Bedroom
He came in and saw ranbir sleeping and kissed him he was trying hard to control his tears but failing he went into the bathroom and turned the shower on so no one could hear his cries of agony he just sat in the shower and cried. Dimpy came in and didn't see nachiket anywhere in the room when she heard the cries she called out "nachiket are u ok" he wiped his tears and came out of the bathroom "nachiket are u ok" he looked at her "stupid question" "nachiket u don't have to hide ur tears its ok to cry u just buried ur son u need to grieve" "i do need to hide my tears because i can't give ragini anymore heartache" "nachiket ur pain is the same" dimpy said "no its not dimpy her pain is more she carried him in her womb for six months and then had to give birth to him my pain is nothing compared to hers i couldn't protect my son or my wife dimpy i failed as a father and a husband and no words will make up for that". Ragini was listening to this outside how could she not see her nachiket breaking this baby was as much hers as it was his she had let her pain comsume her and made her blind to her nachikets pain.

Bedroom evening
Ragini had just finished feeding ranbir when nachiket came in he had a plate of food ragini had not eaten all day. She put ranbir back in his cot and sat. "Ragini here have some food u have not eaten all day" she looked at him "neither have u" he sat down and gave ragini some food she eat it and they took turns in feeding each other neither wanted to eat but for the sake of each other they eat.

Bedroom
Ragini was already in bed nachiket came in and went into the bathroom and changed he came back in the room and walked upto ranbirs cot and kissed him goodnight and got in bed. Ragini had been watching him. She turned and placed her head on his chest and her right hand near his heart " i am sorry nachiket" "what for ragini" "for not noticing ur pain" "ragini" "i heard u talking to dimpy u do not need to hide ur pain or ur tears nachiket this baby was as much mine as it was urs and i should have noticed my nachiket was hurting and nachiket u have not failed as a husband or a father" "yes i have ragini i am suppose to keep u safe and happy and i failed and i failed our son" ragini lifted her head and looked at him he had tears in this eyes "u told me in the hospital that its was not my fault so how can it be urs nachiket its not u were right Rishi was not in our kismat" saying this she wiped his tears and kissed him on his cheek and put her head back on his chest. He held her more tightly and she wrapped her arm around his waist all they needed was each other. Today had been the worst day of their lifes but they still had each other and their ranbir.

Three months later
They were slowly getting back to normal life. Nachiket was back at work he taken a month off just so he could with ragini and ranbir. Ragini was keeping her self busy with ranbir and she was thinking of going back to work. There were still nights where she cried herself to sleep but only consaltion was she had nachiket to lean on today was a difficult day for them both today would have been raginis due date if Rishi had survived. Nachiket had left early there was a emergency at work. Ragini was in the kitchen getting ranbirs food ready when the phone rang "hi ragini" it was nachiket "are u ok i am sorry i had to leave early" "its ok nachiket i am fine how are u" there was silence he didn't need to answer and he knew his ragini was not fine "ragini do u want anything from market i am coming home early" "could u get some food for ranbir u know the ones he likes" ok anything else" "no thats it see u soon" she put the phone down.

Kitchen
Ragini was getting dinnner ready and ranbir was playing in his playpen when she heard him shriek with laughther she went into the living room.

Living room
She went in and saw nachiket holding and tickling ranbir he saw and smiled at her she walked upto him and he gave her a kiss "u ok ragini" "i am now" she smiled at him "something smells good" "dinner will not be long"

Kitchen
They had just finished dinner when nachiket got up and grabbed his car keys "u going somewhere nachiket" "i have to pick something up i will not be long" "i will put ranbir to sleep" "no wait till i get back" "why" "just please wait" "ok"

Half hour later
Ragini was sat playing with ranbir when she heard the car he was back. Nachiket walked in with a box and placed it on the table. He then walked in the kitchen and came out with a knife. All the while ragini was looking at him he walked upto her and took ranbir in his arms. "Nachiket whats this" "open the box and u will see" he was standing with ranbir in his arms and ragini next to him she opened the box and looked at nachiket "nachiket this" it was a cake with happy birthday rishi on it "we made a promise to our rishi that his mum and dad would not forget him so today would have been the day that he would have come into our lifes and i got a cake when ranbir was born right so i thought" she was crying and she hugged him "thank u" "we promised each other that when ever we remebered rishi we would with a smile right" she looked at him and wiped her tears and smiled he smiled back. "Right lets cut this cake ragini" lets do it together they both held the knife and with ranbir in nachikets arms they cut the cake and ragini fed nachiket and ranbir and nachiket fed ragini and ranbir and then he put some cream on ranbir face he just laughed so did ragini that was the first time he heard her laugh for a while. He just smiled. "Come on ranbir bedtime" she took ranbir to clean him up and put him to bed.

Study
Nachiket was on his laptop doing some work when ragini walked in and went behind nachikets chair and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him on his cheek he put his hands on her hands "ragini" she just whispered in his ear "i need u" and kissed him on his cheek and out she went. They had not been intimate with each other since this tragedy he wanted to give ragini time to grieve and himself too. He looked at her go and shut the laptop and got up.

Bedroom
Ragini had changed into her nigthie and was standing in front of the mirror taking her magsultra off when she saw him come in. He walked upto her and wrapped his arms around her waist and put his face on her shoulder and looked at her in the mirror "are u sure ragini" she looked at him and thought that these last few months she had the caring loving husband and fantastic father but tonight she needed her lover nachiket "yes i am sure i need u nachiket" he moved her hair and kissed her neck oh how she had missed that she turned around he kissed her cheek and then down to her neck she let out a slight moan and grabbed his hair as he conituned to kiss her he then looked up and picked her up and placed on the bed and kissed her everywhere she kissed him everywhere aswell how they had missed this. That night they made passionate love more passionate then before realsing all their pain and grief.

Morning
Ragini was asleep in nachikets arms the first night both of them had slept thru the night in months. She woke up and just looked at him he woke up and looked at her with raised eyebrows and she just smiled and cuddled upto him he placed a kiss on the top of her head. They were finally at peace together this tragedy had brought them closer then ever before they could overcome anything if they were together.

It was good to see Nachiket and Ragini grieving together. It was so needed. And because they were together in their grief, they could find happiness back together.
