The episode starts with Nishi and Jignesh's wedding anniversary celebrations at Ragini's place. They cut the cake with Karan, Dimpy, Aman, Sunny tai, Ragini, Ashaben, Jignesh's parents and grandmother being a part of their celebrations.
Nishi taunts Jignesh for his incorrect pronunciation when Jignesh asks from Aman for the name of the flavor of the cake and isn't able to get it properly. Jignesh is embarrassed and leaves. Ragini takes Nishi to a room to talk to her.
Neil's place (U.S)
Agham gets a video recording of the celebrations from Sunny tai and is informed of Nishi's pregnancy. He gets excited and runs to tell the news to Pam who is with some guests and doesn't seem interested in listening to Agham. He decides to go see his father and Suhaani and give them the news.
Ragini's place (India)
Ragini tries to make Nishi understand not to make fun of her husband. Nishi tells her she is living a restricted life at her in laws place & that Jignesh is always taking decisions for her from deciding if she will work & what she will wear. She says she is fed up & she was much better at her maternal home where there were no boundaries set for her. Ragini says she understands but Nishi insulting Jignesh publically doesn't look good as husband and wife should be discussing their issues in the room and not in front of the world. Nishi says she is surprised Ragini is saying all this. Ragini doesn't seem to get her point and asks her what is she implying. Ragini asks Nishi to apologize to Jignesh for her rude behavior. Nishi unwillingly agrees.
In the next scene Nishi and Jignesh are arguing and he says to her they shouldn't even be having this celebration because Nishi has lied. Nishi says he is also responsible for the lie. Ragini comes there and asks them to stop fighting and enjoy the party because this day will never come back. She tells them marriage is all about adjustments and that no two people can ever be the same so they have to understand each other. Nishi says the same is also applicable for her and Nachiket. Ragini has no answer. Jignesh asks Ragini to let it go and leaves. Nishi is about to get herself a drink when Ragini stops her because she is pregnant. Nishi tells Ragini she is not pregnant and it's all a lie.
U.S
Agham tells Nachiket about Nishi's pregnancy. Nachiket asks him to send them greetings. He says the biggest mistakes of his life have been not concentrating on his own children and considering someone else's kids his own. He says only Agham, Suhaani & Ranbir are his children and he can't be bothered about Aarav and Nishi. Agham and Suhaani tell him Nishi is exactly like him in habits and he cannot separate himself from her.
India
Nishi tries to justify her lie and Ragini asks her to admit her mistake and stop acting like her father. She asks her to think from Jignesh's perspective and not be rigid.
U.S
Nachiket tells Agham and Suhaani he can do anything for his family but not for people who are not his own. Suhaani asks him what is Nishi's fault in whatever happened 9 months back. He says he has no concern with Nishi.
India
Nishi tells Ragini her in laws were giving her a hard time pressurizing her mentally for a grandchild and that it's not in her hands if it was not happening. She tells her they were forced to lie when her in laws once mistook her vomiting for her being pregnant and she didn't get any chance to correct them. Ragini tells her she shouldn't lie because a lie can have serious consequences in the long run.
She asks her what her problem with Jignesh is. Nishi tells her Jignesh is not a husband but only a rulebook and he is different from what he appears to be in front of others. Ragini tells her but you still love him and I know you don't want to lose him.
U.S
Suhaani tells Nachiket he loves Nishi. He refuses to accept. Agham tells him ever since they have come back from India, Nachiket has not looked back because he knows if he does he won't be able to stop himself and will go back to them (Aarav, Nishi and Ragini) Suhaani tells him it's his love only which is keeping him away from Nishi, Aarav and Ragini.
India
Ragini tells Nishi her way of loving is different and that Nishi gets really angry with only the person she loves the most and that when she turns away from someone then never looks back and this trait of hers she has inherited from her father.
U.S
Agham asks Nachiket to talk to Nishi. He says he won't because just as Agham himself said about Nachiket that he gets really angry with those he loves a lot so the same is his reason.
India
Ragini asks Nishi to tell everyone the truth. Aman enters the room asks if he can help in any way. An already frustrated Nishi gives it back to him by saying why does Aman think he has a solution to every problem of the world. She says her problem is grave. She tells him she only likes sharing her problems with her own people and she doesn't consider him one. She tells him he can only become her mother's husband but will never be able to take the place of her father. Nishi leaves and Ragini apologizes to Aman for her behavior. Aman like usual says it's okay and that Nishi is a child and will change and improve with time. Ragini says when the person from whom she has inherited these traits never changed till date how can Nishi change.
U.S
Agham and Suhaani again ask Nachiket to talk to Nishi. Nachiket is adamant he will not call and they will not call anyone in India either.
India
Aman certainly is not happy with Ragini remembering Nachiket and says to her that even when she has decided to move on her past is still connected to her and she always thinks of him when her kids do something wrong. She says she never misses him but there are only regrets. She says how she wishes she never married him and her children never had his blood and habits. She tells him she will fulfill her commitment towards him. Aman says he made a mistake proposing her. She asks him if even he thinks no one can tolerate her. He says instead of asking for her hand in marriage he should have asked for her heart. She says she cannot give him her heart because she has already suffered enough at the hands of her heart.
Ragini leaves the room. In her lounge she stares at the framed picture of her and Nachiket and thinks of their last meeting at the court (flashback of the scene and them parting)
Precap: Ragini tells Nishi's in laws that Nishi is not pregnant; they are shocked and definitely not happy to hear this.
