It was a ritual of sorts for him to drop Ragini off after they'd spent the entire day together at Karan and Dimpy's. Yes, it was rather silly, and yes, they were rather old school. Ragini still blushed when he bolted the door even though the kids were chilling in the hall outside. She was still getting used to all his unwavering attention.. how she'd shiver as his fingers lingered on her bare back. He'd purposely slow down when undoing her hair.. tangling his fingers more and more as her sighs deepened..

Today had been wonderful, just like the many days before.. the last couple of hours were spent sipping on her favourite Sauvignon Blanc as they rested their backs on the bed's headboard.. both of them watching Pretty Woman on TV.. they both felt like they'd just gotten married, unable to keep their hands off each other. Life was wonderful all over again and they could not help but push the restart button every morning.. every morning was a fresh slate.. beckoning them to fill it with their most colourful colours. She'd captured his lips in hers just as he'd sipped on some more wine.. the wine glass in his hand was hindering access.. and he couldn't keep it on the bed because it'd fall down.. he knew she was taking advantage of that very fact because her glass was safe on the side table. Grasping tiny handfuls of his hair, she sighed softly with each kiss, her fingers now gently massaging his temple as she looked at him, his eyes still closed, the small smile still on his face.. the hand with the wine glass was firmly against her back, pinning her to him.. he pinned her between his thigh and the bed.. She laughed before pulling him closer for another kiss..

The clock on the wall interrupted them with it chiming 10. She'd asked her mother to prepare dinner and told her she'd be eating at home. She didn't want anyone to feel alienated by the process of Nachiket coming back to her life - least of all her mother and nani. She had to give them enough time.. but she did not want to leave this gorgeous man alone as well. She wanted that serene morning when she woke up in his arms, stealing glances and pretending to be asleep just so she could spend some more minutes in his embrace, all warm and fuzzy and smelling of fading Brut. Her Nachiket.. how she'd longed to call him hers again..

Tugging at his sleeves, she pointed out to the clock and gestured towards the keys. He quickly withdrew and tucked his shirt inside, giving his shoes a miss for the casual loafers.. he knew it was going to be a short ride. He saw Ragini put some things in her purse but did not bother to ask. He extended her hand towards her and asked Aarav outside what his plans were... Aarav wanted to stay back, busy playing games with Aagham. Nachiket smiled contently.. looking back at Ragini who echoed his sentiments..

Once they were out of the door, Nachiket hugged her tight.. as if he never would let her go. Smelling her hair, he nuzzled her neck with his nose. He couldn't believe she was all his.. all his to kiss, to hug, to cherish, to relish.. oh how he'd missed her scent.. the scent that tantalised him in the mornings, seduced him at night and cheered him up in soddy evenings.. the scent that was at once overpowering and subtle.. the scent that had her character - strong, unique, sexy, beautiful, gorgeous.. oh he could just go on.. he squeezed her against himself.. placing a small kiss behind her ear, making her gasp.

"Don't go.. ", he said hoarsely..

Ragini smiled back at him weakly and lead him to the car..

Nachiket grumpily followed her to the car and deliberately kept the frown intact till he sat inside.. he could be such a baby, she thought, as he sat down on the seat with a huff and put the seatbelt on. She sat down on her seat and waited for him to start the car. He just looked at her for a while and then letting out a sigh, reached over and pulled her seatbelt over her..

"Tum bhi na, Ragini.."

Ragini was not used to seatbelts but quickly realised this was his American self taking over.. particular about seatbelts and safety rules. She managed a quick 'oh' before Nachiket reached over.. he deliberately slowed down as he pulled the belt over her, kissing her neck as he adjusted the buckle. The kiss was quick and desperate, he just needed her by his side for now. He finally started the car.. Ragini looked at him lovingly and pinched his ear to cheer him. He looked at her even more grumpily.. he looked like he needed a hug. Ragini knew he was just putting up an act and that he was the most supportive person when it came to her needing time with her mother and grandmother and would never impose himself. She laughed and Nachiket afforded a small smile.. fake punching the side of her arm for mocking him so. Ragini gripped his hand in hers as he finished switching gears.

She tried to remember the last time she had felt his hand in his.. must have been so many years ago. She loved holding his hand and playing with his fingers.. she could not remember a particular moment but she remembered Nachiket having the softest hand for any man she remembered. Taking his hand in hers now, she felt this new, strange roughness of his palm.. flipping it over, she traced her finger on the many lines that criss-crossed his palm. Unknown to her, she let out a big sigh. Nachiket slowed down the car a little to take a look at her.. she was too engrossed in the moment and he let it pass... making a mental note of asking her later.

How he wished the ride would never end..every moment he spent away from her seemed like a crime, especially if he could help it. They'd lost so many hours of togetherness and so many years of happiness, the rest of their lives was simply not enough time to fill up with all the happiness he wanted, with her.. for her.

They finally reached her society and he stopped the car. There it was.. that uneasy silence, the adult equivalent of 'you put down the phone first', except that this time it was 'you talk first'.. or 'you bid me goodbye first' - none of them wanted to be the one saying it. It instantly reminded them of the days of their courtship, when they were counting down to the day of marriage.. their phone calls lasted for hours.. and they would take the longest time ending the conversation.. they'd linger on for minutes and minutes even after the other had said bye.. just the presence of the other person on the line, even through silence, was more than comforting..

They just sat there looking at each other.. she got out of the car finally and looked at him in the most surprising way. He tried to decode what that meant but he realised she was asking him to follow her. He was confused.. What did this mean? She opened the door with her key while Nachiket stood behind her with his hands in his pockets and his deep dimples showing his contemplative state.. they walked inside to find Ashaben feeding nani.. Ragini apologised for being late. Nachiket looked at them sheepishly. Nani called him over and asked for a hug. Nachiket gladly obliged.. Ashaben looked at Ragini warmly, asking her not to worry and that she had finished dinner and was just getting done with Nani's dinner.. she gestured towards the covered plate that was for Ragini..

Ashaben took nani inside after saying good night to Nachiket.. she was exhausted. Ragini looked at Nachiket and shrugged.. he smiled at her and asked her why she'd called him up. She motioned him towards the table and split the contents of her plate into two so he could eat with her as well.. Nachiket was confused and reminded Ragini that his dinner was waiting for him back at Dimpy's.. Ragini smiled at him with a twinkle in her eyes and asked him to quietly eat his food. Nachiket rolled his eyes, but ate up anyway.

When she was done, she brought her bag to him and opened it to show him the contents.. it had his night clothes and a fresh pair for the next day. Nachiket was confused initially but a wide grin quickly spread across his face.

Are you serious? Have you thought about this, Ragini? What will Maa think? And what about Aarav?

Holding his face with her hands, he bent to touch her forehead with his..

You are the man I love, and the father of my children. Maa does not think there's anything wrong with it.. and if you've forgotten, Aarav is at Dimpy's.. and now, if you don't mind, I'd very much like to kiss you.

Her finger trailed his face and ended on his lips when she finished talking.. the other hand still on his face. Losing himself in that moment, Nachiket gave in to her and was the happiest man on Earth. She kissed him fervently.. deeply and reverently. He was hers at last.. the man who ruled her heart and life, and who could turn it upside down with a smile. The rest of their life seemed too less a time. She felt his hands snake around her waist.. palms pressing against her warm skin.. she shivered a little because of his cold skin.. before moving closer to him as he moved his hand up to support her arching back.

He wanted to lose his hands in her hair but that would be very uncomfortable .. so he stood up, as if waiting for her permission to take her to her room. Stroking his stubble, she looked at him for a moment before dragging him to her room, closing the door behind them instantly. He pinned her to the door, hoisting her thigh in his hand and wrapping it around him.. his other hand roughly gripped her hair and cradled her head as he kissed her this time.. he wished he could stop time, capture this moment in all its lovely detail.. the flush of her cheek, the sweat trickling down her forehead.. her palms moist against his face, her sari coming undone.. she was a work of art.. his masterpiece..

Overcome by emotions, he broke the kiss to bury his face in the crook of her neck.. gathering her as close to him as possible. He took a deep breath.. a breath of her.. as his lips left small kisses on her neck. She understood what was going on in his mind completely.. though their bodies yearned for physical intimacy.. their minds wanted solace and comfort so much more.. if she had to assure him of her constant presence a thousand times, she would.. she pulled him closer.. stroking his nape while whispering sweet nothings in his ear..

"I'm here, Nachiket.. "

"Never leave, Ragini.. you hear me? Never leave... I love you so much. You don't know.. I love you.. "

and he must have confessed her love to her tens of times.. each confession punctuated by another kiss.. and each confession was met with equal love from her side.. her lips plastered to his ear.. soothing him just as he soothed her..

End of part 3

This I had used in my post. Here it goes for this - this deserves to be here

Ranjish hi sahi dil hi dukhane ke liye aa
Aa fir se mujhe chhod ke jaane ke liye aa
Pahle se marasim naa sahi fir bhi kabhi to
Rasmo rahe duniya hi nibhane ke liye aa
Kis kis ko batayenge judai ka sabab hum
Tu mujhse khafa hai to zamane ke liye aa
Kuch to mere pindar-e-mohabbat ka bharam rakh
Tu bhi to kabhi mujhko manane ke liye aa
Ik umr se hoon lazzat-e-giriya se bhi mehroom
Aye raahat-e-jaan mujhko rulane ke liye aa

I really don't have the audacity to translate this, so I will just let you know the key meaning. You can fill in 😆. Mistakes are totally unintentional

I don't understand Urdu either, but if a few words are mentioned here and there, I can relate to them., But often these words are so beautiful.

There is grief/ misunderstandings between us, but please to visit to afflict me with further sorrow
Please do visit so that you can forsake/ abandon me again
It's true there is no relation between us now
But please do come to maintain the customs of everyday lives ...
To whom should we unburden the reasons for our separation
Even if you are upset with me, please do come for this time
Please continue this charade, so that I can maintain my self esteem
Yet please do come to reason with me, to prevail upon me
A lifetime bereft of joy and happiness has passed me by
O, Joy of my Life, please do come to make me cry ...

Raahat-e-jaan ... yes.. that is perfect.. that is what they are to each other..
So apt, Rachna 😳😳😳

Loved it.. this ghazal is one of my all time faves.. the angst and the relief is overwhelming..
They just want each other, even if illusionary..

God.. these two..

HUGS!

Now coming back to the update itself, it was a super HAWT update, though you surely skirted around the car element.😆 Naughty 😉
Ragini initiating the new steps in their relationship is a welcome change. I was intrigued what she had packed in her bag, but this surely surprised me. And I liked it.

Seems like Hermione's own Enchanted Bag

Don't worry.. I will keep my end of the 'promise'

And yes, tried to sizzle up this update..
but they need so many things out of the way to really lose themselves in the physicality! 😳😳😳
