Next day morning

Payal was in her room helping Akash get ready. They heard a knock on their door. Payal opened the door and was surprised to find Arnav standing there. In the two years of her stay in RM, Arnav had never come to their room. He has always called Akash to the study if he wanted to discuss something. She saw his serious face and thinking that it was regarding AR Designs decided to leave the two brothers alone. She invited Arnav in and went out of the room. Arnav called her back.

"Payal I need to talk to both of you. So please stay back and close the door. "

Shocked by his polite tone, she just nodded and came back to the room closing the door.

Arnav sat on the sofa and nodded at them to take a seat on their bed.

Payal glanced at Akash asking if he knew what was going on. Akash nodded in negative as they took a seat.

Arnav smiled at them and looked at Akash.

"I know you are confused as to what I wanted to discuss with you alone. But before we come to that, I need to ask you both few questions."

Payal and Akash glanced at each other and nodded.

"Payal can you tell me about your qualifications?"

Payal looked confused.

"Qualifications Arnavji?"

"Haan. (Yes)."

"B. Com first class. Par achanak yeh sab kyon?"( But why do you ask this suddenly?)

"Woh main baad me bataadoonga." (I will tell that later.)

"Akash do you think, after knowing about someone's talent and knowing that it will be beneficial to the company, we should let them go?"

"Of course not bhai. We should convince them to join us. "

"Right I knew you would feel this way. So Akash I leave it to you to convince your wife to come to office at 10 o'clock for a formal interview today with her chickankari work and certificates."

"What????" Both Payal and Akash asked together.

Arnav chuckled seeing their expressions. "You heard me right. I expect you to be at office 10 AM sharp. And Payal,I am not assuring you of this job. I know a good design when I see one. But my head designers will score your designs. And my decision will be based on that and not because you are my sister-in-law."

Payal was the first to recover from the shock.

"Par Arnavji" (but Arnavji) Payal started calling him. But Arnav left the room without listening to her.

"Bhai achanak aise kyon kar rahe hain?" (Why is brother doing this suddenly?) Akash wondered aloud.

But Payal knew it was Khushi's work. She also knew why Khushi did this. She was determined to refuse this offer.

"Akash please inform Arnavji that I will not be able to accept this offer. I know why he is doing this."

"Payal, I don't know why Bhai wants to interview you or why he wants you to even join the company. All I know is that when it comes to AR, he never takes a decision based on relations or emotions. AR is his baby. His years of hardwork. So if he wants to hire you, it will be because he sees some talent in you. I am not going to force you to join. All I am asking you to do is give it a chance. If you still don't like it, you can always withdraw. I will talk to Bhai about it. But give it a chance."

"Akash you don't understand..."

"I think I do dear..." Akash put a hand on her shoulder and pulled her closer.

"I know you don't want Khushi to take on the entire burden of household chores. I will make sure that HP is there to help her with anything she might need. If it would give you peace, we can ask OP to join here."

Payal did not know how to tell him that Mami might not accept her going to work even if it was in their own company. Not wanting to spoil the excitement she heard in Akash's voice, she agreed to go with him. Anyway, she doesn't have the necessary qualifications. But if she gets this job purely based on her skills, she will think about the next step. Thinking this Payal got ready in a peach saree that she had worked on. This was one of the best sarees she designed. She took her design notes and certificates and left with Akash.

Akash and Payal reached office by 9:30. Though she knew it was her jethji who will conduct the interview, she was nervous as hell as she had heard about THE ASR from her sister. Fortunately she had come across only her sister's Arnavji till now. But even the thought of meeting Arnav in ASR form gave her shivers. She knew that he was a perfectionist when it came to work.

Akash told Payal to wait in the reception till she is called for interview. Payal held his hand when he was about to leave. One look at Payal's confirmed that she was nervous. Akash smiled at her and squeezed her hand to give her confidence and left to his cabin.

At the same time Arnav's phone rang when he was about to call Payal for interview. He attended the call immediately and before the caller could say anything said, "Khushi relax. Main Payal ko sirf interview ke liye bulaya hai. Interrogation ke liye nahin."

He could imagine Khushi's flustered face and her mouth hanging open in an O shape.

"I know Arnavji but it is her first interview. That too with my laad governor. So I am worried."

Khushi chuckled after saying this.

"Your laad governor eh? Wait till I get home tonight. "

"ok arnavji you take care. I will meet you for lunch. And"

"I know. I should not frighten your jiji. Right?"

"haan. Ab chaliye." (Yes. Now go)

"Bye Khushi."

Arnav asked Aman to send Payal to the conference room.

"Aman inform Akash to come to the conference room. I want you and Ayesha to also be present."

"Ok ASR."
