Indi, wow that must be some experience. Alone all by yourself and you spent nights in the desert! It is a crazy longing of mine for a long time to do something similar, just me and the nature, out all alone to explore and see how much I can manage all by myself. But, I know, at present that's close to impossible.

sorry sorry sorry, wrong impression... i was in amman all by meyself for six months but working with an ad agancy, knew a guy in singapore who needed a writer, so tried it out... about six indians part of the team and philipinos and jordanians, among them afew palestinians too. wonderful days.

i wasn't alone by myself in wadi rum though... went with three colleagues. and at the site there was a large spanish or italian group too. all of us on the sands in sleeping bags. i worried about scorpions and snakes for a bit, then looked up. there were the stars. i forgot everything.

No wrong impression at all Indi. You did write 'we slept in sleeping bags up there'. I understood you were with friends and aquaintances. What I meant was away from family. Except for the few school trips, I've never done that, or rather never was allowed to. Do you know, I have never even travelled overnight alone except for this one time when it was an emergency. You must realise that I am so envious of all you girls who get to travel, hopping from not only city to city but also between countries. But someday, I do intend to do that. 😊

this one's funky. i can't seem to recall this one, but i like that siggie a lot. congratulations.

and about going to places by yourself... of course you will some day. in the meantime, no one can stop ya from going where ya want to in your imagination.,.. with or without someone.

i am in a desert these days, sand scrunched between my toes. they say a stranger has come to the village nearby and eloped with the bride they were going to push into her husband's pyre.

i am looking forward to your poems on that ret and the feelings scattering all over it.
