ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA - There may be many angry young men before but still the character made its own mark in the history of indian television. Definitely it is Barun who took the character to greater heights. The character has several layers in it. Barun with his expressive eyes portrayed the emotions perfectly & attracted the audience.
KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA - She is everything which asr is not. She was fierce as a tigress in front of ASR. She changed in her love for him just like asr changed for her. I have seen some say that her characterization is based on Kajol's K3G. Comedy is a serious business. But Sanaya rocked with her comic timing & expressions for about 300+ episodes. She was equally good in sad scenes too & made us cry.
Both of them with their best chemistry made even simple scenes intense & passionate. They both deserve to reach great heights in the career they aspire.
ANJALI - Perfect example of blind love & faith. She is selfish but doesn't intend to harm others. Little complicated character still a sweet sister.
SHYAM - An obsessive lover for money & Khushi. He values money more than anything. Despite being the villain, I like that he never forced himself on Khushi, though he has manhandled her once & falsely accused her in front of the family.
NK - A sweet & funny character. He initially had crush upon Khushi. He was always a sweet friend to Khushi. He is always helping to Arshi.
PAYAL - A protective sister, obedient daughter, good wife & good bahu.
AKASH - A brother who is ready to follow his brother blindly. He respects his decision & never want to question his decisions.
NANIJI - Righteous person & a very sweet nani who can dance with her grandchildren. She loves her pet laxmiji too.
MAMIJI - Loves Anjali & ASR as much as she loves her own son. She wanted high-class bahus & hence taunts payal & khushi. Still she loves her DILs & does not to show that openly.
Nani-mami quotient is also adorable.
MAMAJI - A good father, son, husband & father-in-law. Mami-mamji nok-jokhs are sweet.
GARIMA - A non-biological mother of two. A mother who can sacrifice anything for her daughters.
SHASHIJI - Though Khushi is not his daughter, he loves her as much as he loves Payal. A man who had brains but paralysed to our disappointment.
BUAJI - She taunts Khushi a lot & gives her several names 'sanka devi' 'sanki' 'parameshwari'. Sometimes she gives step-mother treatment to Khushi. But she loves both Payal & khushi.
GUPTA Neighbours - Happy singh & others are very understanding & helping.
LA - A modern girl who initially didn't bother about family values & traditions. But with Khushi's friendship, she changed so much. She became a genuine friend to Khushi. She loved ASR & wanted arshi to be together while she left.
HP - Man with several faces. Does all the household works. Adds to fun quotient & man power to the show sometime.
AARAV - Adopted son of Arshi. Basically he too has some qualities like ASR & was also trained to behave like him. He loves his adopted parents so much.
Hope I didn't miss anyone out (ignoring the last 2 tracks).
IPK has a wonderful & the best cast. The IF rankings too reflect that. Only show where many side characters are within 100. Their off-screen bonding are so adorable.
Happy to know that Daljeet is pregnant. God bless her. All the best to everyone's career. God bless them with a happy love life too. How can we all forget naniji's thumkas, mami's hello hi bye bye, buaji's hai re nandakishore, arnav's what the, khushi's hey devi maiyya & nk's tooti hindi. I have never seen such interesting characters in other shows. They will be in our memories forever.
