ARSHI SS: Her Last Wish

Smiles.. The name with which she was known as. More than her name people addressed her with this nick-name which her sister had given her. And that name so very matched her persona. She was a girl filled with life and joy. He smile as bright as sun rays which could brighten everyone's day. Her kindness and the eagerness to help anyone with anything was the other thing other than her smile which would win everyone's heart.

But to day this very person was not like what she used to be. The pale looking figure, in that light blue hospital gown which made her look more dreaded was there fighting between her life and death. Her husband, the renowned businessman, the richest and the most powerful person of the city could do nothing. He was helpless and all that money which he earned for his family couldn't do anything to save his spouse's life. His family was by his side giving him some solace but only he knew how much he was dieing inside seeing his wife like that.

Just then a petite pale figure walked in and she was non other than his wife's elder sister. Face drenched with tears, pale skin and those dry lips and that horrified look on her face made him feel more helpless. She reached them and standing by Anjali, her sister's sister in law asked all what was in her mind..

" How is my sister, Di? How is Smiles? What did the doctors say? Is there any progress?" she asked all in one go feeling more nervous than she ever was and what she got in reply was just a helpless nod.

They were all waiting for the doctor to be out and tell them how was everything inside when they heard a baby cry. Their pale faces broke into a smile as they knew the baby was all safe and is born.. But what about it's mother? They all became ore restless as realization hit them. After about 15 minutes they saw the red light being off and saw the doctor walking out.. They all went toward the doctor with a questioning face and they felt the earth stop.. They felt as though the earth was been slipped off their feet.
