This was Afna Di's request. But I have completely changed Her concept. Arnav as a professional driving instructor is a creepy thought. So I have molded her concept but kept the main content.
Di, I hope You like it... {I am late again, I know 🤔}
Okay. Don't panic. Don't panic. Calm... down.
I will not panic. I will not Panic. NO PANIC.
Right! Khushi, Its Your first driving test.
A piece of cake. A bite of Jalebi. Yummy...
Khushi... Focus!
"Miss Khushi Gupta... Start." The examiner instructed, from the passenger seat.
"Ok... " Khushi stopped whispering to Herself and took a deep breath.
"Stop being nervous. Start the car." The examiner held up the Driving test clip board.
"Right. Ok." Khushi said, nervously igniting the engine and started driving.
"Get Your foot off the pedal... Slow down." The examiner commanded.
"What??" Khushi questioned, nervously staring at the road in front of Her.
"The pedal... Get Your foot off." The examiner shrieked.
"Oh.. Ok!" I quickly moved My foot but the speed was still very fast.
"Step on the brake... Slow down!" The examiner shrieked while Khushi tried to maneuver the Car around a curve.
Khushi looked down for a moment to locate the brake. In confusion, She pressed the one on the right, super hard.
"Oh My God! What are You doing?" The examiner shrieked holding on to the door handle for support.
"Cant You see? I am driving the car!" Khushi screamed back without removing Her eyes from the road.
"Step on the brake! SLOW DOWN!" The examiner shrieked holding the steering wheel to dodge the traffic beside them. "You are still pressing the accelerator!"
"I am trying!" Khushi screamed in frustration and gave the brake a hard push making the Car swerve from left to right.
"We are going to die.. We are going to die..." The examiner chanted beside Khushi. "I am not even married, I have not yet seen the Taj Mahal, I have not gone swimming with the fishes in the Dead Sea..."
Khushi gave an incredulous look to the examiner. "Shut Up...!"
To Khushi's horror, The car was fast approaching the traffic light and it was blinking RED which meant STOP!
"Step on the brake!" The examiner pleaded again.
Khushi quickly jammed Her foot down on the brake pedal.
The car gave a loud deafening screech and headed towards the traffic light.
Khushi closed Her eyes, painfully waiting for Her possible crash.
*Bang*
"Khushi... What are You doing??" A new voice made Khushi open Her eyes.
Khushi looked sideways towards the owner of the voice.
"Arnav? What were You doing in the car?" Khushi questioned incredulously. "Am I in heaven? Are You dead too?"
Arnav gave a funny look, trying to assess the situation. "Khushi, What are You talking about? We are still in University."
Khushi was standing at the University gate and looking at the endless chatter around Her.
"Oh God! I was imagining My driving test." Khushi sighed loudly. "You saved Me from the nightmare!"
"Driving test? Poof! That was like a cake walk for Me... Finished it in the first attempt." Arnav drawled arrogantly while Khushi smiled sweetly.
"Khushi.. Why are You smiling like that? Why do I feel that I have trapped myself?" Arnav asked uncertainly.
"Because You just reminded Me that Someone has a license and that Someone has a Car and is about to give Me driving lessons." Khushi concluded with a chuckle, pulling out the Car keys from His pocket.
"Khushi, Why do You need a license? I am the one who drives You to Uni every day!" Arnav complained while following Khushi towards the parking lot.
"Come on, Arnav. I promise, I wont kill You." Khushi smirked before sliding in the driver's seat.
"Khushi, What do You do first when You sit in the Car?" Arnav questioned.
"Start the engine." Khushi squealed.
"No!" Arnav shrieked in horror.
"Put the car in gear?" Khushi said, clutching the gear in Her hand.
"NO!" Arnav cringed.
"Play Angry Birds?" Khushi said, dangling Her phone in front of Him.
"Oh God! You put the seat belt on." Arnav sighed loudly while leaning forward and pulling the seat belt.
The proximity made Khushi intake a deep breath till the time she heard the seat belt click in its place.
"Ok.. This is the gear." Arnav explained keeping Khushi's hand on the gear and guiding with His own hand. "This is P for parking, N for neutral and D for driving. Got it?"
Khushi kept staring at Arnav's hand which was guiding Her hand.
"Khushi??" Arnav interrupted Her thoughts. "Where are You??"
"Uh- Yeah, P is Driving, D is Neutral and N is for- N is for what??" Khushi hesitated.
"N is for NOTHING. " Arnav huffed. "Where is Your mind?"
"Huh? What? I'm fine! I'm fine' I am listening." Khushi gulped.
It was easy to pretend you didn't have a crush on someone when they weren't right there, twinkling their amazing caramel orbs at you.
But Arnav was right there and this was not helping Khushi in any way.
"Now, Start the engine and put the hand brake down." Arnav instructed to a flustered Khushi.
"Khushi... Are You going to start the Car any time soon today?" Arnav inquired after a moment of silence from Khushi.
"Uh huh.. Yes. Of course." Khushi mentally smacked herself for being so lost.
Arnav's phone buzzed indicating a New message on Whatsapp.
"Oh.. Its Aakash in Our Group Chat." Arnav exclaimed.
"Awww.. Even I want to chat." Khushi pouted.
"Khushi.. Concentrate on the road." Arnav growled while typing in His phone.
'Giving Driving lessons to Khushi. Pray for My soul to Rest In Peace.'
Arnav looked up from the screen to see Khushi clicking a picture of Herself in Her phone.
"Khushi! What are You doing???" Arnav asked in horror. "Watch out!"
