I had to recall these episodes many occasions and hope BFTP buddies would also add to this list when they recalled these episodes when watching other episodes of IPKKND

- When Anjali saw Shashi as Payal's dad when the Raizada's bought shagun for Payal- recalled how Shashi had seen Shyam with Anjali and he got an answer of who Anjali is.

- When Arnav told Lavanya thinking she was Khushi- " Mein Janta hoon jaane anjane mein maine tumhe bahut chot pauchayi hain. Lekin jab bad mein realize karta hoon to then I really regret it- I really do lekin mein Kuch jaan bhujh ke nehi karta Khushi- main baas aisa hi hoon' I was recalling how he felt after he saw Khushi having a fever and remembering her parents because of him.

- When in the remarriage track he saw Khushi shivering outside I was recalling with him how afraid and cold Khushi was also in the Nainital trip. No wonder he gave her a blanket.

- When in the day of Paagphere Arnav left Khushi in front of her house, I was recalling how Khushi looked when he left her in the middle of the road with money because it was Delhi and now she can manage- the same way she can manage when he had dropped her off a couple of blocks away from home. (i actually recalled the mandir scene where he comes and finds her during pagphere, when in the jungle he said to khushi "paagalon ke tarah dhoond raha hoon." that day too he was going mad slowly though he was angry with her, hurt, troubled, believing she uis having an affair with shyam.)

- When after paagphere Arnav said, " Main har baar tumhe paagalo ke tara Dhundne nehi awunga"- was recalling how he was madly searching for her in the woods on the way to Nainital. (ah that's teh one i just wrote about 😳)

- When in Holi Arnav told to Anjali about Khushi, " Pagal hain but cute hain." Had to recall how she cutely threw away the mirchi from his daal, continued to babble to make him say a word in the car when they were returning back, was happy when he said shut up. And of course the list of things she did to make her certifiably mad, starting from getting into the trunk of the car, thinking she could fool the wild animals, goes on. (that mirchi triggered some memory, one of course of him insisting and having mirchi wali daal and then hiccuping like crazy. but there was something about the way she removed the chillli and said, now eat... can't remember but something there.)

- When on the day after paagphere- Akash supported and stood up for Payal, was recalling how he also stood up for her when she was insulted by Mami.

- When in the Kidnapping track- Arnav took the daylight out of the man who dared to make a pass on Khushi- I think we also got the answer that Khushi asked Arnav- what he would do if someone really hit her. 👏 👏

- When Arnav rescued Khushi in the hilltop after the goons left, I was also recalling with Arnav and other ARSHI lovers how she always holds onto him unconsciously and how he held onto him on the Nainital trip.

- When Khushi agreed to work for him for 24000R for a month to get the rent for Madhumati's bunglow- I remembered how Khushi thought she was of less value to him as a wife then as Lavanya's trainer and how to Arnav she had more value in a day now then she was almost a month to him before.

- When Arnav was hugging Khushi after Anjali's abortion and did not want to let her go- I was remembering the hospital hug. After Anjali's abortion- Arnav wanted to hold on longer to Khushi and was disappointed when it was not reciprocated. In the Hospital hug- Khushi also wanted to hold onto Arnav longer and was disappointed when he did not hug her back.

- In ARSHI haldi when I saw Shyam and Shashi I could not help but remember how Shyam put him in the wheelchair.

- In ARSHI wedding night when all the Raizada's intercepted remembered, " Shaadi aaj huyi hain to suhaag raat bhi aaji hogi na."

- In the Shitall track- when Arnav and Aarav said Khushi was filmi hain- I had to recall how filmi Khushi was to stop Arnav from leaving her in the dhaba, how she fooled the entire people into believing that he was leaving her 2 hours after marriage- how he had Dhaba's owner and his wife on her side by complaining that- Arnav was angry because of auntieji's cooking.

Finally
Each time Mami said Khoon Bhari taang- remembered how Payal acquired that name;
each time felt a little sympathy towards Shyam remembered what he did to Shashi.
Each time Arnav was angry- rememberedGusse main to aap dimaag lagana bandh kar dete hain;
each time had doubts about Khushi really needing Arnav- remembered the hospital hug.

Episode 101

Paid in Full

No, Buaji can't stop the seeds that have been planted from growing, instead she is watering them. Kushi and Shyam's marriage is to be fixed.

At the hospital Kushi is trying to explain to the cashier that she will take care of the bill when the girl says to her the bill has been paid in full. What, who paid the bill? He did, she says and points to the gentleman walking down the corridor. Wait! Kushi exclaims. He slowly turns around. Boyishly, almost embarrassed for what he has done, he looks at her. She looks away, gathers her courage and walks towards him. You paid this? Hah, yes, he replies. Q? (My English translation, lol) Why did you pay? I can take care of this bill. He says, he knows she can, but she was finding it difficult and he knew that the accountant deducted for the taxes so he decided to help by paying the bill in full. She tells him she doesn't need his help, she would figure it out. He agrees with her, he knows she could sort it out. She interrupts him saying why you are doing this I am just your employee, I am not your family member. Then why? She tells him she didn't know what came over her yesterday, she shouldn't have done that. She says don't try to be generous she won't be able to bear it. She tells him she doesn't need his money, she had a weak moment but don't think I want something from you or that I am begging you. Just let it be. She holds her head and asks God why she is behaving this way, she has gone crazy. You are trying to help and' She is beside herself and he sees this; she runs away.

Back home they are fixing a marriage and Payal and Akash talk on the phone.

Kushi has found a chair and has sat down and all she has been feeling flows out through her tears. She is releasing all these pent up emotions. It is hard to be a pillar of strength when your world is falling apart. He has followed her, sits down beside her,she senses he is near and looks up. She again is made to feel comfortable by him. He is her strength, her sounding board. She tells him ever since this happened she hasn't been able to think straight. She has already lost her parents and she can't bear it again. Placing her face in her hands, she sobs. He can't bear her pain and this time reaches out and places his hand on her head to comfort her. She is shocked, he looks away so does she. It is an awkward moment, hard to interpret by them. They look towards each other again sharing that moment again.

It is hard to share feelings, to want to be there and give support when some situations don't allow it to happen. Akash wants to be there for Payal but due to circumstances with his mother he can't be there and Payal won't allow him to come into her life due to those feelings of his mom. ASR and Kushi walk away from each other because they do not really understand the feelings they have for each other just yet. He can't comprehend why he would care for this kind of girl, let alone have any kind of feelings or emotions in his life and she just doesn't get why she should trust her rakshas/demon. How could this man behave so good and so bad at the same time? As they walk away they look back, first one and then the other, not seeing each otherlooking, until they turn the corner.

Kushi goes home and is approached by her Bua. She wants to talk with her. Kushi is worried that something has happened to her father but he is okay and sleeping. Both Bua and Garima want to talk serious about marriage. Kushi does not understand that it is for her and not Payal. A grave mistake is being made here. The seeds that have been planted by Shyam are continued to be watered by the elder women. Kushi's marriage is to be fixed with Shyam. Kushi is shocked. What? But Buaji'

Buaji just goes on praising Shyam and how he is perfect for her and cares for her a lot. Garima sees Kushi apprehension but Buaji nips it. Thank God for the burning lentils on the stove because that stops the conversation for now.

Kushi goes and talks with Shyam and he tells her to speak frankly but he turns around and snidely remarks they will be together soon anyway. She tells him she doesn't feel that way towards him and he is a good friend. He fakes his agreed answer telling her he doesn't want to get married either. Reassuring her, that he has only agreed because of her father's illness and he seems to want it but he will take care of the elders and explain. Kushi seems reassured and walks inside although she is feeling like she may be disappointing her father's wishes.

He gets a phone call and is asked if he wants the ring and he says ofcourse he does. He is getting married to Kushi! He will pay this bill in full and all things are going to go his way no matter what.

All bills have been paid in full now they will all prepare for Diwali. Will this festival bring light to the families or will there be a persistent darkness hanging about? We shall see, we shall see.

the wind rose, lifting the light shimmering dupatta with it, and the borrowed covering fell; leaving her quite bare, her upper body suddenly only in a small blouse and nothing else. she was mortified, he awkward, shocked, by now he knew how she felt about such a thing.

the most riveting moments for me in this episode were these first ones. the immense beauty and significance of just one interlude... i have watched this scene repeatedly to find all that i couldn't clearly read yet felt was there. every time it has glimmered with its loveliness.

the scene was absolutely amazing!


i didn't count the seconds or minutes, but i felt something timeless here, as i had in that one long look in the guest house on the night of the storm. after he plucked her out of the dangerous corner and headed out, for a second they were separated, he turned and looked straight into her eyes, the wind was there too, gushing wildly, lifting her hair, scattering feelings and sensations. there was a moment then as they just stood staring at each other when i felt something elemental, eternal.

undoubtedly eternal.

similarly, here.

her life in that instance, her sense of self respect, here. her abroo (is that what i am looking for?), the respect and honour of her body as important as that of her soul, her spirit. he will be there taking it on as his responsibility. as long as he is there, no one can mess with her life or her respect seems to be in these moments somehow. and so very poignant his own handling of himself at this strange juncture.

Loved your beautiful expression. It was hard for him to keep sane, after all she literally took his breath away.

a hellish day it's been, the road to nainital filled with surprises he could do without, they are just out of a jungle, on a highway, no idea where to head next, she goes into the washroom, and her clothes are swiped by a girl eloping, of all the... she emerges in beautiful bridal gear from a dilapdated public toilet, just as they are trying to make sense of the whole thing... this.

which man in this situation would be as delicately sensitive as the khadoos rude nasty laad governor asr was.

yes, he will misunderstand. yes, he will be brutal. to her, to himself. yet, somewhere always, arnav singh raizada will hold himself to be the one to protect her honour, her life. contradictory his dragging of her to the temple one day might seem, his harsh words, his throwing her out of the room, all of it, but because of this that we have seen, we'll know how much it agonises him, we may even understand why he did what he did. i at least, did.

His anger is justified, but sometimes it's just too much to bear.

her hand went up instinctively and touched the side of a her neck, a classic gesture, a girl embarrassed, feeling naked.she stepped back, turned away as he stood still, the wind rising the only sound...

he looked at her back and she seemed to feel his gaze, as rabba vey entered the sound scape, an awkward, half turn.

he felt her tense embarrassment. khushi doesn't like to expose her body, her beauty, she contains her desirable physical side in, she doesn't believe it is for all eyes to devour. she's not demure or coy, this is her choice. and that dupatta on the floor she can't pick up because she just doesn't want anyone to see her without her covering. certainly not a man, not asr.

she was feeling bare in front of ASR.But don't know why it seemed to me, she was shy like a newly wed in front of her husband, like a groom takes of his bride's veil for the first time. or moreover she wan in bridal outfit.


the minute the dupatta deserted her, he saw her startled, troubled look, and figured exactly what to read in it. his gaze moved away from her entirely. the seconds ticked and the murmuring of extreme awkwardness and embarrassment grew. then, seeing that she wasn't doing a thing, he picked up the dupatta finally, and with absolute respect, averting his eyes, held it out to her, as he had in that hot and bothered store room one sunday.

she took the dupatta after ascertaining he wasn't looking at her. or maybe she was touched by this simple act of consideration, of his knowing her.

at a time when it is considered almost necessary to flaunt your body as a mark of independence, here's a truly independent minded girl who knows what she wants to do with her body. (perhaos that's why, i was a bit rattled to see creatives opt for a bare all look for mehendi, if trp was driving such a choice, shame on them. khushi doesn't need to show naval to be adorable or sexy. she is sexy sometimes precisely because she doesn't. instead she wears crazy pom poms and drives a fashion man nuts.)

so true.I wouldn't mind if the cvs showed her bare in a closed room with Arnav. Khushi's mehendi outfit was way too revealing for her.the backless blouse was barely there.and her milky skin was shown dangerously. Once Arnav opened Khushi's hair becuase NK was devouring khushi's not so revealing back.

But sanaya was looking so beautiful in the mehendi.It was Sanaya, not Khushi shown in the mehendi.

after handing her the dupatta, he does the most unexpected and sweet thing. he goes a step further from her then and turns completely away from her, creating the privacy for her to wear her veil. even she can't quite believe how considereate he is being. not a word, just doing what he believes he needs to do... for her. a trait of the man perhaps, a remarkable one.


months later in a darkened hut, as his desire inflamed for her and he wanted to watch her change, he'd again turn down a lamp, save her, protect her, not let anything taint her respect, not even his own gaze. it was always up to her, even after they both knew how much they loved each other.

Arnav was very respectful to her. It's unbelievable that he didn't sleep with her for once before the proper marriage.Though it may not happen in real life.

goons arrive.

the gentlest, "chale?" he seems to sense her unsettled state of mind, her clothes have disappeared, now this extremely difficult intimacy that is swirling in like the mist, yet neither knows its name, just a girl and a boy and a road to some unknown place.

a thin girl's lunch order:

she is climbing higher and higher on table, stool, whatever to catch the signal or so creatives have written, to create a situation where she can fall into his arms. she does too. but the cutest thing here was the irritation/ugh/confusion/tenderness combine that barun sobti's asr expressed. along with a smile bringing, "pata nahin main iss ladki ke saath yahan kar kya raha hoon...khushi neeche utro." don't know what i'm doing here with this girl... get down, khushi!!

really arnavji, won't you ever call the girl you've eloped with khushiji? and if the large mrs suri in garish red with gota edging and ingratiating questions is giving you nightmares, my sympathies with you, i am finding her and her noisy garrulous dhaba a bit of a nahiiin too. i wouldn't ever want to meet her if i were trying to elope quietly. but then you're not trying to do that anyway, right? but then, arnavji, how come the girl is in bridal... ok ok sorry, no no, i get your point, you must fly into a rage soon and i must get all face palmy.

ASRwala was the best and I loved the slogan.

"chhoot"? she is not a child or animal being trained that such a word should apply, but never mind. she understands, you are hungry, you fainted just this morning, you're tired, you must eat. she is really feeling worried for you, you know. but you're going to storm out of the place, you are gussa again, and we know what gussa does to you. she tries to push you into changing your mind. whaaat?

"main ja raha hoon, yeh jagah tumhare liye bilkul perfect hai, yahan ke log tumhari tarah bilkul paagal hain, khushi kumaroi gupta." i am going, this place is perfect for you. the people here are as mad as you, kkg.
