Episode 101

These two actors don't really need to talk do they?

If they ever want to make Pushpak 2 I would recommen these two to act in it.

First thing is Lavanya please try to understand that Arnav is just not into you. You may hug him as much as you want but the only thing on his mind is Khushi, Khushi and Khushi...

The scene in which Khushi goes to Arnav's house to ask for her salary and realizes that she gets only 27000 instead of 30,000 she was expecting was so sad. Sanaya beautifully portrayed how every rupee counts in a time of crisis. She starts of looking petty and then begins to look desperate and then desolate.

She not only pulled at Arnav's heartstring but mine too. I could really feel her desperation.

The next scene in the hospital is even more heart rending. When she finds out that Arnav had paid her hospital bill she is shocked. So much that she begins berating him to the point of hysteria.

All this while Arnav bears everything silently knowing very well that she is in pain. A man who gets angry at the drop of a hat is now patiently listening to her tirade.

Then just like that in flash she realizes her state, holds a shivering hand to her head and apolgizes and breaks down.

Arnav sits down next to her and she once again unburdens to him and begins to cry. Arnav finally lifts his hand and places it lightly on her head. Khushi goes still and looks at him. He looks at her. They don't know why they are doing the things they are doing. They get up and walk away in opposite directions.

Barun and Sanaya -- just fantastic. Here I have to mention direction, camerawork, lighting & music that went into making this scene so poignant. Superb!!

or perhaps it began in another plane, beyond even the writer's imagination, far far away, where truth meets truth and knows love to be its only destination.👍🏼

"she loves jalebi, he loves pakoda. both so deep fried, juicy, crunchy without, flowy within, just that one is sweet and one savoury. like some people we know. pakoda with its chilli hot anger, jalebi with its swirls of sanaka. but looks like the lover of jalebi is equally sold on pakora." - Amazingly said 👏

"hand reaches up for pin, and the left right jhatka ditty on tip of tongue no doubt. he is flabbergasted beyond belief. what the really. his eyes say, you're really ajeeb as she comes to the door held open. " - I loved this scene...it was so innocent nd cute 😆

"a dark brooding asr looks ahead and drives, avoiding any contact with the pestilence on the passenger seat. she munches pakoda. even offers him one. a glare does the trick. in a perfectly enacted and edited shot he tells "lalit" he'll be late, a problem's come up. problem is upset halfway through munch.😆 -very well written

"a slightest movement of head, a darkening look in eyes, a little turn in her direction, a quiet downward slanted, ending on fullstop, question mark, and exclamation mark all together... tum. and why do i feel a funny indulgent air in him. of course anger and disbelief, and dismissive a note." - really love the wordings...very nice 👏

"he will look drop dead gorgeous and push the car anyway. of course, because she was so concentrating on not moving the steering wheel instead getting him to push more to the left, more to the right, etc., she will not notice how ahem dhakdhak the man looked straining to move a whole huge car."

"when asr is tired and sweaty, and the petrol pump is nowhere in sight (maybe dm moved it a bit away from its original location), "😆

"khushi's sassiness will earn her a harrumph asr and the right to push the car. she will do so, with aplomb. the more you stay in the same place, the longer the distance you cover🤣. if i'm to critically appreciate the look on asr's face as he stands watching her "push" the car, i'd say she'd done a huge bit of travel straight into the centre of the dimaag man's dil." - ⭐️this entire thing is Amazing...really wonderfully written indi 👏👏

"somewhere along the way, aman would be introduced. hello, aman, bhelcomes bhelcomes. and in the comedic turn of this loony day, we'll laugh about whom asr called idiot, fool, and other such endearing things." 😆

" khushi wouldn't know how to hook on a blue tooth. so of course a beautiful brown hand will tuck back a strand of hair and put this little remote device on her ear. never before has the remote brought anyone so near." - i too seriously loved this small scene between the two...amazing

"finally, fed up with everything, asr will decide to walk through the woods and khushi will be brave and refuse. then canny and give in. up will come the most incredible stalking of the man. sweet and hot lost in a forest with woody trees, bare brown earth and quietly descending mist, the very thought feels erotic.👏

"have to give super applause to the dialogue writers of khushi today. what might have become too obvious or irritating, became charming prattle, at times loaded with exciting nuance." - Completely agree here 👍🏼

"this is not funny." and in a trice, i'm on a cliff top months down the line. his voice wobbly, desperate, pleading as she lies lifeless in his arms. that journey too began here. his voice not yet that shaken, but signs of it there already.- Beautiful 👏

Arnav is terribly perturbed. The unexpected circumstances what happened with the goons, khushi's words, all are reverberating in his mind."he just pushed me. will you kill him. yes i'll kill him. how dare he touched you!." his mind is whirling in turbulence.
His silence is killing Khushi. she can't keep quiet for long, "it's good that the meeting postponed in Nainital." she starts again,"Plz forgive me. It's all my fault. If i wouldn't wear the bridal outfit, nothing would happened.
Arnav is still numb.
They reaches Delhi. khushi gets happy. She resumes to talk, "Plz tell something. I know I troubled you a lot. I'm feeling weird as you are not speaking. You always scolds me, remind me of my status,. Plz do that. I did the mistake twice. But what possibly i could do? That girl stole my cloth." She keeps insisting Arnav to talk,"plz tell something, scold me.
pause: Khushi's dialogue reminded me the scene during the kidnapping track.when Khushi found Arnav in the warehouse, she said almost the same thing. Arnav said "to tumne mujhe dhoondi liya." Khushi answered," bohot din huye apka daat nahi suni.(it's been a while I didn't hear your yell.) Khushi's love for Arnav is so immense that she longs for his yelling also. How unconditional and divine is her love!
Arnav now is annoyed at her constant blabbering,"Just shut up."
Khushi gets delectable to hear his shut up. "Said shut up.You talked after 3 hours. It means you are not that angry.But you were really angry when you beaten up those goons. You beaten them black and blue, that next time they will not even dare to see any girl in bridal attire." She asks him why he beaten up those goons severely, They just pushed her a bit. She wants to know If they would hit her what he would do!
Khushi's words extremely exasperated Arnav. He screeched the car in a halt. He is tremulous in anger,"get out."
Khushi is flummoxed,"what did I do now and how can I go?"
Arnav grins in anger and gives her some money and tells her to go by herself, as she is in Delhi."just get out."
Khushi gets out from the car watching him in consternation,
pause: why Arnav got so frantic, just becoz Khushi reminded him that Khushi is important to him or he couldn't bear to hear that someone can hit Khushi!

The Gupta women are terribly panicked in the hospital. shyam pretends that he is also worried. Where as he is wishing Babuji's death! Payal calls RM to know Khushi's whereabout. Anjali pacifies her and tells her that Khushi already reached Delhi. Akash is also worried. he wants to go to the hospital. But Mami's flippancy starts gain."Hello hi bye, bye.Heart attack is not a cinema that you are going to watch it. It's not necessary to see Khoon bhari tang." Akash tries to protest, but can't. Mami tells her to sit silently. Mamiji, how cum you are treating your grown up son like a baby!

Shyam is terribly anxious," Everything will go in vain,if mausaji survives." he might planning to kill him.
Payal is trying to console Amma,"babuji will be alright."
Akash comes to the hospital. he wants to stand by Payal's side in her difficulties.Good, At last you disobeyed your mean mama's order.
shyam sees Akash and gets agitated,"Itni koshish karneki baad bhi lagtahe humare dono sale hume chan se dobara ghori charne nahi denge.(after giving so much effort, it seems that my two brother in law will not let me marry again peacefully) he is fuming.
pause: I wonder why did he say his two brother in law. did he suspect anything between Arnav and Khushi?
Akash tries to comfort Payal and tells her to let him know, if she needs anything . Payal is very determined. she tells him,'hume humari hal pe chor dijie.(let me be myself) . She is strong. she doesn't need the rich people's mercy. She didn't forget mami's harsh words.

Arnav berges in the house like a storm. It seems, vortex of emotions whirling inside him. when OP tries to say something, he just can't let him speak. may be the poor guy wanted to inform him about khushi's dad's heart attack. his mind goes back to the that incident again."maar dalenge kiya, sref dhakka i to dia...aise woh hume sref dhakka dia aur ap use itna marra, agar woh humpe hath uthate to?" Her words, the incident are making him deranged. He still can't believe why he did such thing, why he outraged so much when those guys touched Khushi. He is incredulous, "kal tak mein uss se itna pareshan tha, lekin aaj hume kya hogiya, jo muhhe." (I was so annoyed at her till yesterday, but what happened to me today?)

When Khushi comes to the house, she finds the door locked. happiji tells her about babuji. She gets terribly worried and rushes to the hospital. the Gupta ladies sigh a relief to see her. they try to console each other. The poor family now only have each other's supports and blind trust on God. the doctor informs them that Sashiji is still in life support. If he regains sense he might not need the oxygen. Khushi wishes to see her dad. Shyam hears this. so his next plan is to take off the oxygen.

Shyam comes to babuji's cabin to remove the life support. The devil mutters himself that it will be painful to die but he is helpless. if he survives his plan will go in vain. He wishes a fake pray,"May God gives you peace and gives me Khushi." But he forgot for a moment that God is omnipotent. Nobody can do anything without his will. God immediately sends the Gupta family inside the room. Shyam gets nervous to see them, tries to shift their attention,"See mausaji is regaining his sense."The doctor looks a bit suspicious.he says that sashiji can now breath without life support. Buaji is impossible. She shows her gratitude to Shyam, "God sent you at the right time. you are our God. I certainly did some good deed in my past life, so God sent you to our life."
(PAUSE: In that case I must tell you buaji, in your past life you must did so much sin, so God sent an evil monster in your life. but sigh innocent Babuji and Khushi became the scapegoat.

Babuji regained his conscious, but he is not speaking. Still in his sickness he keeps starring at Shyam, what makes Shyam frightened. He is seeking the excuse to flee. Babuji keeps trying to speak. But no avail. Khushi also insists him.Shyam says her not to pressurize him. He is scared if Babuji speaks then his secret will be revealed.
babuji tries to speak,"Shyam , Shyam."

superb opening. you are very emotional today, sohara, daroon. that reminder of the kidnapping scene had me feeling all emo too. some of their scenes are just unforgettable. you know, i am absolutely sure that both sanaya and barun are capable of doing fantastic work on their own, without each other. yet, there are days, i so wish to see them together again, because they really seem to spark each other differently, uniquely. something in you knows this chemistry is not easy to repeat, and also there's still lots of life in it. thanks for always keeping the two together in your takes. the visual is beautiful but naturally.

i love the video up there. thanks so much. a bunch of happy young people and talented, who can ever get really mad at them. so while i boohoo at the thought of no more ipk, i love what i just saw there. utkarsha naik is one of my favourites. how i wish they'd bring this thing to singapore. and that snippet of balwant kaur, i bet many tears on thsi thread after seeing that. and giggles. how good were those days. maybe some day again.

loved the conversation, ladies. grew up with a mother who loved hindi cinema, bangla cinema, and all sorts of indian music, movie, classical, pop, the works, also lots of rabindra sangeet and other songs from our folk traditions. and a father who listened to western classical deep into the night as he worked till the wee hours. evenings often had rabindra sangeet, loved by both parents, or calypso or jazz sounds of the fifties playing at home. no tv those days. very few movies in the tiny oil town in assam where we lived. radio and records, the main form of entertainment. babul mora, i can still hear my mom humming it, her head swaying slightly. there's a bade ghulam ali version i would love to hear. just heard saigal doing babul, then jab dil hi, bhimsen joshi and girija devi's versions of babul hearing for the first time ever thanks to this chat and youtube. always brings memories and a longing for something somewhere else.

later my ma would bring andy williams, perry como, tom jones, the top of the pops and abba close to us.

arshi, yes their new sounds become parts of us too, despite the what the in us. 😆

ufff i am too damn prehistoric. show me to my cave now.

"Khushi convinces him some more "jab chhote ghalati kare to bado ko maaf kar dena chahiye...kyun ki chote kabhi jaan booj ke ghalati nahi karte..".he doesn't buy it, and accuses Khushi of teaching the girls to do this. which brings us to

"nahi jijagi, did na hame kuchh nahi sikhaya" - it was damn too good 😳

Arnav a bit taken back at first but seemed ok with it when he slowly looks up at khushi to see her reaction before being forced to clarify "i'm not jijaji" - i knw same here 😃...he is soo okay with it😳...i too captured his nd Khushi's expression whn the line was said...but somehow couldn make an edit for it...

- this is too good 👏 especially Arnav's expression in the last 😉

""aap honewale hai kya ?" another liitle voice boldly asks😆, Khushi looks at Arnav asking the same question with her eyes😳, both give each other a look before he storms off.

"The little girls were onto something after all didn't Anjali say they are a form of Devi maiya? both Arnav and Khushi gave a sense of not minding being linked together👍🏼...too cute! - true...it was very cute 😃

"He tries to stop Di but she brushes him off, he gives up and leaves after which an incident follows. Anjali has a horrible fall, luckily Khushi is there, she calls out for others including "Arnav ji" but he thinks its another ploy and in no more mood for jokes."

"Eventually he goes down stairs sees what happened, Anjali is mad at him to talk. Arnav sees Khushi putting her shoe back on. Arnav and khushi look at eachother, their oneness, sense of togetherness vibrant here.👍🏼

- the expression of Khushi is really nice here...its lik she's gonna explode if she doesn take the box right away 😆

Sup! back with a bang! wonderful! love the color tones and the caps esp the on of Khushi happy shappy showing Arnav her choli having not idea what she's doing to him in the bottom left corner...😆 Glad to the the collage dedicated to Payash, unfortunately due to lack of time I can only focus on Arshi for the time being, but i love their cute story developing on the side.
