People are saying ipk has given him fame and recognition and no one knew him before. I am sorry people but he had a fan following since his first show which has cult status. There are many early fans in this dori itself. Like who was BS before ipk? Yes some of us have been a fan since his last show but most of this forum did not know who BS was before ipk.

The character made him, he did not make the character

The thing is most of his fans have got Barun mixed up with ASR. Pre kidnapping wala ASR was hot, I'll give it that to the character. But Barun never was and never will be hot. At most he will be just a teenage heart throb, along the lines of Sid Malhotra and Bieber, only that he will be forgotten once ASR ceases to exist.

After my last reply I went to bed so I only checked this morning.
I can't believe that people are still defending Sobti more than they will defend themselves in a court of law. The man clearly does not care or else he would stay.

Some phangirls who want him to play ASR only... There is no guarantee that they will be this mad abt his any other character afterwards... He played shuts an before but couldn't create this magic before so its the character which Gul created and he essayed it brilliantly but in BW u have to have that pull to bring people to the cinema... Salman has made movies like bodyguard and ready bumper hits.
