So this is what must have happened, in my point of view:
1) Barun gets offered MAMR - asks the PH and Channel for leave from IPKKND
2) PH and Channel agree and come up with a track to cover his absence (which is absolutely generous of them cuz that hardly ever happens in the tv industry)
3) Barun comes back
4) Barun is mentally and physically exhausted so he asks for leave again
5) PH/Gul must be quite annoyed because they were JUST recovering from his big 40 day leave earlier
6) PH/Gul realised that even if he takes a break now, he will ask for another break for promoting his movie. They realised that if he keeps asking for leave, it will be hard to continue the show.
7) Barun/PH may have had a small argument over this (speculation only). And this time the PH let him go all together because they want to continue the show without him - he cannot provide a guarantee that he will not leave the show if he gets better offers. The PH knew that he was going to ask for more leave soon so they prob thought it was better if they started working without him.
8) So Barun quits.
There are two things to point out here:
1) Barun overworked himself - and that is his fault. Don't misunderstand me - I'm his biggest fan. But yes, he overworked himself and reached a breaking point. Many ppl have been bashing Barun by saying that if Sanaya can continue w/o taking a break, why can't Barun.
Well to that, I have to say that if Barun did not have the stress of juggling both a movie and the show, he would have been able to cope. Working two things at a time proved extremely stressful for him. But he did that because he did not want to leave the show - for fans, for job security.
2) Okay, so the CVs were not able to come up with good tracks! The story was going downhill anyway. They made Arnav into a smiling, loving husband. They finished with the original story planned.
After Arnav-Khushi realised their love etc. the CVs came up with absolutely horrible tracks and did not execute ANYTHING properly - marriage screwed up, no honeymoon, no proper suhaag raat, shyaam exposed at the wrong time
Basically, the story was a mess too. So it is not Barun's fault either.
4Lions always comes up with great initial storylines. But once they are done with showing that - they run out of ideas - which is acceptable. But once they run out of such ideas, they should end the show.
Rather, they continue with horrible storylines and sideline the show for new shows - which upsets the viewers!!!!!!!
