if track changed,then new year symbolism???

if the track is changed that arnav going with sheetal or dying and khushi with another guy...then wht happend to the symbolism of new year...that both of them will stay together not only this year but whole life...

that is a symbolism which was shown twice...one at new year time and later after 6 months , even nk had mentioned it...

that symbolism no fans can forget it right...then how can they suddenly take a u turn in the story...has symbolim gone kaput now after they dont have ideas of story...
