Ladies, tried very hard to maintain my sang froid but I guess my depression is stronger. All the symbolic death talks and talks of financial independence has really got me.If the CVs are laying the foundation for what Joey calls " an accident and a coma OR are we talking about an accident and a face transplant OR are we talking about an accident and lights out? " then its bye bye for me.Though I'm not a giggly and crazy pankha of BS ( thank God,I'm past that age) but to me IPK is Sarun. If there is a face transplant/replacement, my IPK ends there and that is the extent of my "atoot vishwas" on the CVs.I'm hating this track...its too gut wrenching and does not help me relax which is a must after a hard day in AD.Joey,Israt,Shweta,Pallavi,Ash...I'm in the same boatwa with you.I just cannot "sit back and wait for the track to unfold" as everyone seems to say these days.

If this is the track... then I am surely out ! Accident/separation OK. No face transplant! Let him do his promos and come back. Waise how long does it take to promote a film that was made in 40 days? Arshi is Sarun for me ! Coma and back chalega... but TRPs will be back in December so wonder if they will risk it!

Sanghamitra,
Anything that does not entertain( be it comedy, drama, suspense) but causes anxiety is not worth the 22 mins spent on it. It is taking TOO long for US the viewers to figure out WHAT is going on. I do not mind Arnav and Khushi not knowing as long as we DO. The bacha belongs vs bacha does not belong has been dragged and dragged.
You are right, it is time WE knew what to expect. This is a love story not a suspense/crime based story. The wait and watch is now causing ulcers...

Right Pankaj... they should atleast take the viewers into confidence... but like I said the other day they seem to be sharing CVs with Arjun nowadays.. see the castling stuff was repeated here and there... even my mother said this ... so suspense is the name of the game!

Ash,
Arjun - every episode is said and done in ~40 mins. The story begins and ends there. No dragging at all.
This is just misery. If the "entertainment" causes misery that you want to drown in chocolate. There is something wrong.
I had to clear the DVR so watched the entire month of October and all I can say is "WOW" I did not realize that this track had been going on for SO SO long...
I hope they remember that this is a love story - these usually have HAPPY ENDINGS so no dying, coma etc.

[QUOTE=sanfan]
Unfortunately, they opened the pandora's box with the DNA report...questioning Khushi's trust and showed her doing underhand things that set us all looking for deeper scars in her psyche (some real and some imagined)...so we are hoping there is a point to be made that remains unsaid...and we are plodding on..hoping Arnav will be one to reach out to her and bring her back from the abyss she seems to be falling in.alternatively we are looking at a Khushi who is able to ride out this storm that has threatened her bond with arnav- a bond she imagines to be stronger than the one she shares with him..(the ties of blood that may bind Aarav with arnav)

However, if the point in the narrative is about laying a foundation for the future..i would say sudden death is best, so no one has any time to consider anything...and as it is we have gone crazy thinking about ARHI's future as if they are real people...and the funny part is they are actually real for us
this slow death is painful and makes an absolute mockery of what we fans feel for ARHI..They cannot supplant it in years...I hope SP has understood that the hallmark of this serial is the love story...even we love Khushi, its ARHI we love more...
Possibly the TRP audience can live with a story that is built around other possibilities..but for majority of the international and national (online) audience, if they kill a part of ARHI, they would have killed the show for us
.

Hi Rekha! I am Joey or the evil twin/bad cop as some of the former SG's call me.

Loved your comments. I am replying to yours and hoping to cover some of the things that Ishrat, Shweta, Ratna and Meens have brought up.

@Blue - There is a lot of "hoping" in what you wrote 😆 This is exactly my point! The terrace MU track worked because we didn't have to "hope" for anything. It was all there! We knew Shyam was evil and Khushi didn't harbor any feelings for him. People are hoping for Sheetal to be negative but has anything been shown to that effect? Nope, nothing. I disagree that the suspense behind Sheetal's intention is the same as Shyam's scenario. Shyam's intentions might have been ambiguous in the beginning but by the time the terrace MU happened, audience knew the perpetrator, the victim and the judge. The fact that Sheetal has been kept open ended is exactly I have issues with this track. Let's consider possibilities:
1) Sheetal is negative and the kid isn't ASR's
2) Sheetal is positive and the kid isn't ASR's
3) Sheetal is positive and the kid is ASR's

1) and 2) - until and unless audience is let in these require pure "hope" and "faith" that everything will be fine in the end. To make a paternity claim and that too with a guy who vehemently denies having such relations, requires a carefully thought out and flawless plan with absolute guarantee of not getting caught, especially in 1) where DNA evidence vs. ASR's word. Also, the only way the kid isn't ASR's is if the DNA report has been tempered. If Sheetal has tempered with the report, she can't be positive. Is there someone else who is running the show? that is also very far fetched and requires "hope" and "faith" only to paint Sheetal in a positive light.
3) A very good possibility. ASR had one drunken night that resulted in something and he doesn't remember. It happens and it will not be uncharacteristic for him as he is a worldly man. He lived a different life pre-Khushi. Completely believable. This option however, does not work for me regardless of how adorable and a good actor the kid is. The only way Sheetal can be positive in this scenario is she is killed off in the show. Even with that, There is no love story if this happens. Khushi a step mom t to a 5/6/7/8/9/10 year old kid?? The story becomes about the kid only. So anyone thinking about the kid to be ASR's, need to really think hard what it does to the love story. So Someone tell me, how does Sheetal being positive is a possibility or a good thing? If it is not a possibility, why the suspense unless it is really option 3)? in which case, the show is dead.

Now look at what I have done. I have just spent all this time speculating about Sheetal when that should NOT be the focus of this track. Whether Sheetal is positive or negative, it needs to be out in the open for the audience so the focus can be on Arnav and Khushi on how they do or don't deal with the situation. The terrace MU did just that! after the misunderstanding was established, the focus was hate, helplessness, confusion, pain, angst and much more with Shyam in the background. If the idea is to bring the same intensity back, Sheetal needs to be in the back drop. The focus should be on leads dealing with this issue while the audience knows it all along and sympathizes with the leads. This suspense has no place in the track and it doesn't establish Sheetal a positive character even if there is another Raizada floating around somewhere - To get back at one Raizada, she is messing with the life of another Raizada, someone please tell me the positive in this.😕

@Red - I don't know what the point is in the narrative. I am an Engineer so by default, my brain is wired to look at the data, extrapolate and look at probabilities. Here's the data that was presented to me:
Off screen:
"We will post an update on Barun Sobti's status next week." (the week which never came)
"love story has run its course. What to do next?"
"things are in limbo"
This track was chosen because of behind the camera stuff which is unknown to the audience
MAMR promotions starting soon.

On screen:
"Jis ki zindagi jitni hai, utni hai, kab jeena hai kab marna hai, aik vrat say change nahi kar saktay"
"agar kal main na rahoon toh..."

All these things to me indicate something is brewing and it ain't coffee. Again my interpretation of the data. So to your point, yes it should be sudden death (be it a character or the show) and not a slow torture. Even if it is a sudden death, spare me the "outbursts", clues and the symbolism! Let me enjoy what's to come for however long possible and then just rip the band aid! thoda dard ho ga but everyone will move on, so is life and we are thankful for that! 😊

@Green - The absolute mockery of the international and online fans has already been done both off screen and on screen and sad thing is, it still continues. Even with a general disgust for the track, it has been extended beyond what it should have been or was originally intended. I do not see this ending anytime soon. Maybe short sightedness in daily soap is the rule of thumb - take it as it comes, because to look at the track overall, I can't help but feel disgusted and disheartened wondering if Aarav is indeed a "Singh Raizada". Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with child out of wedlock or anything of that sort, I have issues with it being in IPK because I signed up for a love story and somewhat of a fairytale.

@Ratna - My sincerest apologies once again if my views seemed depressing to you. I reacted based on what I am seeing on the screen and not based on what I want to see. To me there is a difference. Like I said main bohat ajeeb hoon, my brain is wired differently to look at what is in front of me. For me "hope" and "faith" are reserved for my life and divine presence only. For everything else, I look for evidence. As far as IPK is concerned, the makers need to convince me with their story telling and not ask me to look at glass half full or have faith or some other crap like that. I can look at glass half full but is it filled with water or sewage waste? 😆 I still can't find any thing "half-full" about murdering a baby so blatantly on the show.

Sangha - humble request, please stop PMing me. I have self control issues. I have polluted your post once again with my brain matter which might be worse than spewing venom for the show.

WOW...
Joenet 1234
What a post 👏👏
AND this is WHY I feel that the makers of IPK have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams in the kind of audience they have captured. Someone who watches, agonizes over and then has the "words" to express ALL of this.
I do not know where this is going, how long I will watch this show but one thing I will always remember is that amazing, intelligent, brilliant and articulate women watch daily soaps.
Ladies, as usual I am HUMBLED by your sheer brilliance and dedication to this show. Gul etc have NO clue as to what they have achieved.

Girls...

Khushi crying at the end of the episode was heart wrenching...poor thing! She was so happy with Arnie by the poolside...and that chudail had to spoil it all.
And then the DNA report.

When Shyam was up to his tricks, somehow he never managed to come between them - his tricks always ended up shoving them towards each other.
This track has a completely different, unsettling feel to it...the kid being part of the issue has made it very complicated. Now Khushi herself will be the cause of her rift with Arnie, by pursuing this Aarav angle.

To top it all, the reference to the financial independence of K, and indirect hints at death/separation is what is making us even more anxious.

I am never in favor of angst, longing, separation in the name of intensity! - that is the reason I have stayed away from Indian soaps, because they revolve around unending problems for the lead couples, most of the time.

Sangha 😊

Thanks for PM. Looks like CVs are taking a dartboard approach to story ideas. ASR has left the show. BS has taken over.. literally 😆

Poor Nanku.. I thought he was a better judge of character. He is now reduced to this ?

Didn't Aakash leave ?

Also, how come the none of the noisy neighbors brought up Vakeel babu ?

On good note, Baby Anj, Khushi and Payal were looking really pretty.

Sheetal is weird. Did she get a job with AR ? ya freeloading ?

Show mein interest nahin aa raha bilkul.. 😕
