Ok talking about the TV industry in general, I can assure you that its very very difficult to make a show popular and be watched by people and have a big fan base. Viewers of TV are spread across all channels. Star Plus is not just competing with ZEE or Sony, they are even competing with any damn channel whether its AAjtak, NDTV 24/7, Discovery, ESPN, Regional language channels, Religious channels, Pogo, Cartoon Network etc etc.
So many channels , so many programmes, from current affairs to entertainment. People spread across different tastes . Its not that easy to make a show connect to an audience emotionally.
When a show like IPKKND does so well, I feel it should be rejoicing moment for the entire team to pledge that they keep this maintaining. Such achievement is not achieved by all shows. certainly not. Go and look at any other show except the top 5 , they without good fan base and popularity are still marching ahead peacefully. IPK which has been termed as one of the best show based on intensified love romance and getting so much of unprecendented popularity in India as well as overseas seems to be gripped among issues and unable to overcome it.
There is a saying na…too much of comfort, pleasure ,adulation pinches sometimes. It becomes difficult to tolerate peace, sucesss, happiness that you ruin it yourself.
Problem no. 1- the IPK team lacks focus off late. Stagnancy. I have told u earlier posts that IPK looks aged at times while in reality its just 16 months old. For a Hit show 16 months should be nothing. People constantly complaining about chemistry. Well for me chemistry comes with good written screen play and tracks and as for us there was no track in last 4 months that could focus on chemistry. It all became too fast..and the after effects are still continuing. I mean post kidnap ended , didi insecurity track, dadi track,, past revelation, remarriage all clubbed into one month and then finished off sooner too..Thats why things are running too fast.. and sooner that there is no space left to see arshi track. Honestly at times I feel the hate marriage was better phase.
Problem no. 2- the actor issues, quitting issues of other supporting actors , Honestly, this the way a team doesn't function. i just wanna say them, Will u ever get such a hit show. Other actors, producers are jealous of IPKKND because their shows don't have such a fan following like IPK has.
So for me these two issues are the bigger problems of 4 lions at present.
Only advice I have for them is please as I said earlier its very difficult to create a hit show. Very difficult. So please I hope the creative and actors should be united to see that IPKKND rules again on Tv screens.
Problem is shows will come and go but such a show comes once in lifetime.I would still consider if the show base is not good.But comeon the show has kickstarted so well, made us cry, made us grin. got us goosebumps. If this show wud belong to other PH and channel and different actors working they wud held it precious like diamond. Because such fan craziness and support no show gets. I look at other PH like shash- summet production (diya bati, punar vivah). Sphere origin( balika vadhu), Directors Kut( yeh rishta, amrit manthan, kuch to log kahenge) Rashmi sharma telefilms( saathiya, sasural simar ka, mrs kaushik ki 5 bahuey)
All these PH along with cast n crew are working in such a symphony. They make changes in their story but they do not side track from the concept of the story. i keenly observe Tv industry functioning ,but I donot find their PH in such a mess.
I don't have any particular issue with present track because I knew is the aftereffect of avoiding some tracks . some tracks were needed like
No confession of Ilove u but Showing arnav and Khushi realisation of love after kidnap step by step not in haste as they did. . It was done haphazrdly( sorry I didn't see it indepth,it was kept as sub plot)it was damaged for me.
Exposing contract marriage on that day itself when arnav returned but it was not implemented.
Khushi separating and breaking all relations . This could be followed by nani making fake excuses to keep Khushi in shantivan for some days again the sexual tension, intensified romance to get khushi closer to arnav .
And when they are ready to forget contract marriage, hate marriage n restart , the couple should unite and then now this past thing should have come where arnav feels helpless to love Khushi but his past again creates a wall.meanwhile Khushi wants to love arnav but for her garima is important too. So this things shud have been happening now about Nafraat paas aane na dey mohabbat door jaane na de.
Sheetal track is a damp squib. Instaed of intensity, its getting headache.
So the two problems I told above are very crucial.
SOLUTION:
recreate nafraat paas aane na de mohabaat durrr jaaney na dey ( but not through illegitimate confusion tracks)Creative team think, think more and more creative ways to show that tag line…bring out that raw passion and intensity once again..
Unite the entire team, motivate actors to continue with the show, discuss their issues. Try to manage their movie career along with the show but don't make the actor leave the show.
If this ipkknd was just a show nobody would mind.But iam not completelt wrong to say its LIFE, a reason to be happy, an extension of our happpiness.
TRUST ME THE DAY CV'S AND ACTORS OF IPK REALISE THIS FACT they would work more hard and with proper feedback and concentration, They would know in real sense where IPK stands and what is their value in our lives. . i am waiting if that day would come...KAASH..
